BREAD MACHINE PIZZA DOUGH {RECIPE}

Bread Machine Pizza Dough {Recipe} image

The BEST pizza dough recipe and it's made in the bread machine! So easy, so delicious, so versatile! You're going to want to make this at least once a week!

Provided by Trish - Mom On TImeout

Categories     Dinner

Time 1h55m

Number Of Ingredients 13

2 cup flour (I like to use bread flour but all purpose and even a combination of AP and wheat flour works)
1 tbsp butter (softened)
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp yeast
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup water (105-110 degrees)
2 tbsp water (additional)
4 cups flour
2 tbsp butter (softened)
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp yeast
2 tsp salt
1 1/3 cups water (105-110 degrees)

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients into your bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Make sure that the water is warm enough to proof the yeast (about 105-110 degrees).
  • Turn your bread machine to the dough setting and let 'er go! After a couple minutes check on your dough. Make sure that the ingredients are thoroughly combined and that the dough is not too wet or too dry. Depending on where you live and the flour you use there can be some variances in the dough. If it's too dry, add 1 tsp of water at a time. If the dough is too sticky, add 1 tsp of flour at a time.
  • The dough will raise nicely during the dough cycle. Isn't it pretty? It never ceases to amaze me what a little yeast can do :)
  • After the bread machine is done (mine takes about 90 minutes on the dough cycle) - dump the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and work it until you achieve your desired shape.
  • Depending on the size of pizza pan or pizza stone you are using, you may not need all of the dough.
  • I like to lightly grease my pizza pan and dust with cornmeal. Make up your pizza and bake at 400-425 degrees for 18-25 minutes. You are looking for bubbly cheese and lightly browned crust. If you like a crunchier crust, brush some olive oil on the crust before baking.

BREAD MACHINE BOBOLI TYPE PIZZA CRUST

Bread Machine Boboli Type Pizza Crust image

Pizza night always sounds like a good idea, until you have to make those fresh crusts. But what if you could just make them ahead of time, and what if your bread machine could do most of the work for you? These make-ahead, freeze-ahead Boboli crusts just brought pizza night back.

Provided by supersalad

Time 3h

Yield 12

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup water
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon sugar
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 teaspoons Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Parmesan cheese to sprinkle

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients (except) second Parmesan cheese to bread maker in order listed by your manufacturer. It is a good idea to put the garlic down inside the flour so it does not slow the yeast. Set bread maker on dough setting. When complete, form two crusts on pizza pans, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, cover and let rise again. Bake 5-10 minutes at about 450 degrees F until light brown. Cool. Wrap tightly in foil and freeze until you get the pizza urge. Great to have around for easy last minute dinners. Good way for kids to make pizza too.

HOMEMADE DETROIT STYLE PIZZA - BREAD MACHINE

Homemade Detroit Style Pizza - Bread Machine image

Provided by www.GrandmaBehrendt.com

Categories     Pizza

Number Of Ingredients 20

For the Dough:
300 g bread flour (10.5 ounces; about 2 generous cups)
1½ tsp salt
220 g warm water (110 degrees) (7.75 ounces; about 1 cup)
1 Tbsp Extra-virgin olive oil
1 tsp instant yeast (0.15 ounce; about 1 teaspoon, such as SAF Instant Yeast)
2 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
3 tsp garlic (minced)
2 tsp dried oregano
¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 tsp granulated garlic
1 tsp granulated onion
½ Tbsp sugar
½ tsp salt (or to taste)
prepared dough (from step one)
3 Tbsp olive oil
8 ounces Havarti cheese, cut into 1/2-inch cubes (this is not 1 cup of cheese, it is a brick of cheese measured by weight )
2 cups shredded mozzarella (thick shreds are the best)
12 oz thick sliced pepperoni

Steps:

  • This dough turned out really great in the bread machine. I will put another link to the original in the notes below in case you want to follow that. There are instructions for using the stand mixer, food processor, or by hand.
  • When using the bread machine, you will mix your dry ingredients together, except for the yeast. That is last. So, measure and mix your flour and salt together first.
  • Mix your wet ingredients together (water and olive oil) and pour them into your mixing pan. Make sure your paddle is already installed for mixing.
  • Slowly pour the dry flour mixture on top of the wet mixture in the mixing pan and make a small well in the flour and add your yeast.
  • Place mixing pan into your bread machine and lock it into place. Select the Dough setting for mixing and rising only. My machine has a 1 hour and 30 minute cycle. Press Start and let the mixing and rising begin.
  • While the bread is mixing and rising, go ahead and start your sauce. In a med sauce pan add olive oil and cook your minced garlic, oregano, and red pepper until fragrant.
  • Pour in your tomatoes and add the rest of the ingredients. Let simmer on low for about 30 minutes, until sauce thickens. You can place a lid on the pan slightly off center to reduce bubbles from splattering your stove.
  • When the sauce is done, turn of the heat and let it cool it will be just fine.
  • Turn oven to 500° to preheat.
  • Once the dough is done you will want to prepare a 9x13 pan. I used a disposable foil pan to make my pizza and it worked just fine. Pour olive oil into the bottom of the pan. I would suggest spraying the sides of the pan with cooking spray to prevent the melted cheese from sticking.
  • Remove your prepared dough from the bread machine and need into a ball. This dough is pretty loose, so a bit of oil on your hands will come in handy here. Use the olive oil in the bottom of the pan to completely cover the dough b rolling the dough ball in the bottom of the pan. Begin stretching the dough to fit the bottom of the pan. This may take two 2-3 sessions. Try to stretch the dough to the edges of the pan in a rectangle shape, without tearing it.
  • After you have stretched the dough a bit, you can let it rest for 15. Then you can come back and stretch it some more. Once the dough is completely stretched to the edges and is well-oiled. Add half your pepperoni in 3-4 nice rows right on top of the crust.
  • Top with shredded mozzarella and add your cubes of Havarti, spreading it evenly all the way to the very edges of the pan.
  • Spoon sauce over the top in 3 even rows. You may not need all of the sauce, but I pretty much used most of it. There was about 1/4 cup leftover. Now add remaining pepperoni.
  • When your pizza is fully assembled, place in preheated oven for baking.
  • Bake in the oven at 500° for 25-30 minutes or until edges are browned and pepperoni is cupping and browning on the edges. This is the good stuff. Be patient.
  • When pizza is done, run a spatula all the way around the edges of the pan to loosen the pizza. This may take a bit of work, but it will separate and your bottom crust will be nice and crispy. Carefully lift pizza out and slide it onto a cutting board.
  • Cut pizza in squares and serve.
  • So good! I tried to get a good 'slice' pic.

BREAD MACHINE PIZZA DOUGH

Bread Machine Pizza Dough image

This bread machine pizza dough will make pizza night your favorite meal of the week! Perfectly crispy, chewy, yet pillowy soft this homemade pizza dough beats anything you'll ever get at the store. Plus, it's super simple!

Provided by Marina | Let the Baking Begin

Categories     Main Entree

Time 2h15m

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 cups bread flour (or all-purpose flour)
1 tbsp kosher salt ((reduce by 1/3 if using table salt))
1 3/4 cups warm water ((100°F or less))
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tbsp Active Dry Yeast (or Instant Dry Yeast)
4 tbsp olive oil

Steps:

  • Add all ingredients to the bread machine's baking pan in the order listed (4 cups flour, 1 3/4 cups water, 1 tbsp salt, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tbsp dried active yeast, 4 tbsp oil). Close the lid and turn the bread maker to the "leavened dough" cycle which typically runs for 1 hour 30 minutes. After about 20 minutes of the cycle check on the dough to make sure that all flour is incorporated and you have a smooth soft ball. If the dough looks too runny, add a little more flour, one table spoon at a time, until the dough comes into a soft ball. Do not add too much flour or the pizza will be doughy and dense.
  • Preheat oven: Meanwhile, place the baking rack in the top 1/3rd of the oven, then put the baking stone or steel on top. Preheat the oven to 550F or as high as your oven will allow for 1 hour before baking.
  • Divide and Shape balls: Once the dough cycle is complete turn the dough out onto floured surface and divide into 4 equal pieces, use a kitchen scale if you prefer to be precise.Shape each piece into a taught ball. To do so, flatten the ball into a patty, then fold it in half, then in half again. Continue folding in half until it is too hard to fold it in half again. Now tuck all ends under until you have a smooth, taught ball. Set aside, smooth side up to rest on floured surface for about 15 - 20 minutes, spacing them about 4 inches. Lightly sprinkle with flour and cover with a tea towel to prevent a crust from forming. (See Note 1)
  • Prepare the toppings: depending on your preference prepare the toppings & sauce for the pizza.
  • Stretch: flour your work surface well, then add 1 dough ball while keeping the remainder of the pizza balls covered. Now, gently press in the middle of the pizza with the flat part of your fingers working around a circle from the inside towards the outer edges to stretch the ball into a 10" - 12" without deflating 1 inch of the outer edge. Tip: Avoid using a rolling pin to roll the pizza dough, while a simpler and quicker method this will deflate the dough, and the pizza will not be as airy and light as it would be if you stretch the pizza.Transfer the pizza dough onto parchment paper (my preferred method), pizza pan (I use this one, but you can use any) or a wooden or metal pizza peel generously sprinkled with semolina.
  • Add toppings: add about 1/4 cup of pizza sauce and spread it around evenly, staying off the edges. Then add about 1 1/3 cups of grated mozzarella cheese (full fat) followed by toppings of choice. If using a wooden pizza peel to transfer the pizza make sure to shake the pizza on the peel back and forth every so often as you're adding toppings to make sure the pizza does not stick to the pizza peel.
  • Bake: slide the pizza onto the hot stone/steel and bake for about 7 minutes per pizza, or until the edges of the pizza are well browned and the cheese in the middle bubbles, keeping a close eye to make sure that it does not burn. Note the bake time and set the timer for the second pizza for that time. Using a timer is very helpful at preventing the pizza from burning. If baking inside a pizza pan with no pizza stone/steel bake for about 13 minutes or until the edges are well browned and the cheese is bubbly in the middle.
  • Remove from the oven: my favorite way to get the pizza out of the oven is to use a metal pizza peel, it slides under the parchment or pizza easily and is easy to clean and maintain.Transfer to a wooden board, cut into wedges and serve immediately.

Provided by Bread Dad

Categories     Dinner     Lunch

Time 1h40m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 1/4 Cups Water ((lukewarm))
3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
3 1/2 Cups Flour ((all-purpose flour or bread flour))
1 Tablespoon White Granulated Sugar
1 1/2 Teaspoons Italian Herb Seasoning
1 Teaspoon Salt
2 Teaspoons Bread Machine Yeast

Steps:

  • Unplug your bread machine and remove the bread pan.
  • Place the water, olive oil and then the rest of the ingredients into the bread pan. You can make a little indent on top of the flour in order to avoid the yeast falling into the water (until the machine starts). Do not combine the salt with the yeast (as the salt can kill the yeast). Place the yeast & salt in separate parts of the bread pan.
  • Place the bread pan (with ingredients) into the bread machine and then plug in the machine.
  • Put your machine on the Dough setting and press the start button. In our Sunbeam bread machine, the kneading & rising on the dough setting takes about approximately 1:30 hours.
  • When your bread machine has finished, unplug the machine & pour the dough onto a cutting board. Wear oven mitts (as the bread pan/bread machine may be hot). Sprinkle some flour on the cutting board (before you pour the dough) in order to avoid the dough sticking to the cutting board.
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Shape the pizza dough into a round pizza shape. Don't press down on the edges of the pizza. You want a little rim around the pizza. The higher edges will help to contain the sauce and cheese as the pizza bakes.
  • The pizza dough can be used to create one large pizza or two small/medium pizzas.
  • Place the pizza-shaped dough on a non-stick baking sheet or pizza pan.
  • Spread a thin layer of tomato sauce (or pizza sauce) on the pizza dough.
  • Sprinkle on a layer of shredded cheese.
  • Add some already cooked toppings (i.e. fried Italian sausages). These toppings should be pre-cooked because the pizza baking process may not cook them properly or safely.
  • Bake pizza in the oven at 400 degrees for 18-22 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Baking time will vary due to the amount & variety of toppings and size & depth of the pizza dough. Check the pizza frequently after 15 minutes to ensure that it has been baked to perfection!
  • Wear oven mitts to remove pizza from the oven.
  • Place finished pizza on cutting board and cut into pizza slices. Enjoy!

PIZZA DOUGH RECIPE FOR THE BREAD MACHINE

Pizza Dough Recipe for the Bread Machine image

For years we've had pizza night once a month. The Man of The House makes the pizza dough in the bread machine. Here's the pizza dough recipe and exactly how we make our homemade pizza.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 ¼ Cups water
1 ½ Tablespoons olive oil
3 ¾ Cups bread flour
1 ½ Tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoons salt
1 ½ teaspoons active dry yeast yeast

Steps:

  • Follow the instructions that came with your bread machine in terms of what ingredients to add first. Use the dough setting.
  • Check on the dough after five or ten minutes of kneading. It should be a smooth, round ball.
  • Separate the dough into two balls. Let the balls of dough rest for at least 5 minutes. Then use a rolling pin to form two rounds of dough.
  • Move the pizza crusts onto parchment paper.
  • Put the pizza stone into the oven and set the temperature to 545 degrees. If your oven doesn't go over 500 degrees, set the oven for about 5 degrees under its maximum temperature.
  • Lightly brush olive oil on the crust to seal it. Then spread the sauce over the pizza avoiding the edges.
  • Cover the pizza with pepperoni.
  • Add the cheese of your choice
  • Use a peel to move the pizza and the parchment paper onto the pizza stone. (You'll cook the pizzas one at a time.)
  • Keep an eye on the pizza and watch for the cheese to melt. That's when it's done. In our oven that takes between 6 and 8 minutes.
  • When the pizza is done use the peel to remove the pizza and parchment paper from the oven. Slide the pizza onto the cutting board and discard the parchment paper.
  • Slice and enjoy!
  • Follow the instructions that came with your bread machine in terms of what ingredients to add first. Use the dough setting.
