1 cup vanilla yogurt
2 cups prepared pomegranate martini (recommended: Smirnoff)
4 fresh raspberries, for garnish

Steps:

  • To a blender, add the ice, yogurt and pomegranate martini. Blend until smooth. Pour into chilled martini glasses and garnish with raspberries.

Pomegranate juice is packed with antioxidants. With all the refrigerated pomegranate juice in the stores now, you don't have to squeeze the living daylights out of each little pom' nugget yerself. ;) Often stores will carry this bottled juice in the produce department. I love the ease of smoothies, especially in my Magic Bullet, which is smaller and less cumbersome than a blender. Recipe is courtesy of Stonyfield Farm.

  • Blend all ingredients together until the desired consistency is reached.
  • (NOTE: This smoothie can also be made with freshly squeezed juice from a pomegranate. To juice a pomegranate, cut it in half (as you would a grapefruit) and juice using a citrus reamer or a juicer. Pour mixture through a cheesecloth-lined strainer or sieve. One large pomegranate will produce about 1/2 cup of juice.).
