Steps:
- In a pitcher or punch bowl, combine the apples, oranges, orange juice, orange liqueur and Spiced Syrup; stir with a wooden spoon. Let sit for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to marry. Add the Lambrusco and club soda and stir to combine. Serve over ice.
- Combine 1/2 cup water and the sugar, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon sticks in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat to dissolve the sugar; cook for 2 minutes. Let cool completely, then strain. Refrigerate for up to 5 days.
PUNCH WITH LAMBRUSCO
Steps:
- In a large pitcher, combine the tea, cognac, rum and lemon juice and stir thoroughly. Chill the mixture until you are ready to serve the punch.
- Pour the tea mixture into a pretty punch bowl. Add 3 cups of crushed ice cubes and the Lambrusco. Stir in sugar to taste, if desired. Stir well and serve.

Reach for a lighter, sweeter, more citrus-leaning amaro, to avoid masking the bubble's nuance. For Lambrusco, seek dry or off-dry bottles, and commit to tasting a few until you find what you like. Two to start with: Lambrusco di Sorbara, which is the lightest in color and flavor, with high acidity and plenty of aromatics, and Lambrusco Grasparossa, which is dark in color and bold in flavor with dry tannins and rich berry notes.
