These wings get loads of flavor from the slightly sweet honey-barbecue sauce they're tossed in. They're just the tiniest bit sticky-exactly the way they should be. -Taste of Home Test Kitchen

2-1/2 pounds chicken wings
1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
1/2 cup barbecue sauce
1/2 cup honey
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons paprika
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Oil for deep-fat frying

Steps:

  • Cut wings into 3 sections; discard wing tip sections. In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, barbecue sauce and honey. Bring to a boil; cook until liquid is reduced to about 1 cup., Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, paprika and pepper. Add wings, a few at a time, and toss to coat., In an electric skillet or deep fryer, heat oil to 375°. Fry wings, a few at a time, until no longer pink, 3-4 minutes on each side. Drain on paper towels. Transfer wings to a large bowl; add sauce and toss to coat. Serve immediately.

1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
20 chicken wings, or drumettes
1 cup BBQ sauce
½ cup honey

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • In a bowl, combine flour, chili powder, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Coat the wings in the flour evenly, shaking off any excess.
  • Place the floured wings on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet and spread them out in a single layer.
  • Bake for 45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until skin is crispy and golden brown.
  • Preheat oven to 500°F (250°C).
  • In a separate bowl, combine the BBQ sauce and the honey. Stir the cooked wings in the sauce and coat them evenly.
  • Place the coated wings back onto the baking sheet and spread them in a single layer.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until sauce is bubbly and caramelized. Cool, then serve.

2 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon canola oil
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons orange juice
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoons cider vinegar
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
18 whole chicken wings (about 3-3/4 pounds)

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, saute garlic in oil until for 1 minute. Stir in the honey, ketchup, juices, soy sauce, ginger, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, pepper and hot pepper sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Remove from the heat; cool to room temperature., Cut chicken wings into three sections; discard wing tip sections. Place wings in a large resealable heavy-duty plastic bag; add 3/4 cup cooled honey mixture. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 2 hours. Cover and refrigerate remaining honey mixture for basting., Drain and discard marinade. Place chicken wings on a greased rack in a large baking pan. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes on each side, basting occasionally with honey mixture. , Broil 4-6 in. from the heat for 2-3 minutes or until browned and juices run clear.

This is my own recipe. I love the way they get so gooey and sticky...goes really well with some homemade mac and cheese, some bbq baked beans, and a biscuit.....mmmmm....yum!

18 chicken wings
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
cooking spray
1 cup barbecue sauce, preferably Hickory Smoke Flavor
1/2 cup honey
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons hot sauce
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • Wash, dry, and season the wings with the salt, garlic, pepper, cayenne, sugar, and paprika. Preheat the oven to 375.
  • Spray a cookie sheet with a generous spray of cooking spray.
  • Place the wings in a single layer on the cookie sheet, and place in the oven.
  • Cook for 35-40 minutes, depending on the size of the wings, turning once.
  • While they are baking, make the sauce by slowly simmering the sauce ingredients over the lowest heat.
  • When the wings are done baking, carefully dip them in the sauce, and place them back in the oven for another 5 minutes, or until the sauce is bubbling.

  • Mix peppers, honey and 1/4 cup barbecue sauce. Pour over chicken in shallow dish; toss to coat. Refrigerate 1 hour to marinate.
  • Heat grill to medium heat. Remove chicken from marinade; discard marinade. Grill wings 8 to 10 min. or until done, turning after 5 min.
  • Place wings in large bowl. Add remaining barbecue sauce; toss to coat.

This was inspired by my favorite sauce from a place called "The Terrace" in Apalachin, NY, they had many different flavored wings. I decided after not finding a recipe similar on-line to make one up on my own. First time and it came out wonderful! The only thing I would change is to add more garlic if you really love garlic. Hope you all enjoy this recipe as much as we did.

3 lbs chicken wings (24-30 pieces)
1 1/3 cups Frank's red hot sauce (USE ONLY FRANKS RED HOT FOR THE BEST FLAVOR)
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
3 teaspoons garlic, minced (Use more if you really like garlic!)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
5 tablespoons honey
cayenne pepper, if you like it hot (couple shakes (or more)

Steps:

  • In medium sauce pan melt butter and add rest of the ingredients, simmer on med to low heat while preparing the wings. Stirring often.
  • If you like crispy wings, deep fry as directed on package.
  • Or you can bake them in oven at 375 degrees for 1/2 hr (Skin side up) Drain grease, turn wings over, baste with some of the sauce. Bake for 15 minutes. Turn wings over again, baste with sauce, bake an additional 15 minutes.
  • Place wings in bowl and pour sauce over them and enjoy!
  • We always serve with celery and bleu cheese dressing.
