RED SKIN MASHED POTATOES RECIPE
Step-by-step, photo illustrated recipe for our delicious, creamy, red skin mashed potatoes. We've got a quick and easy side dish that can be table ready in just a few minutes. Everybody loves mashed potatoes. These are so good, you don't even need gravy. It's a perfect addition to your favorite meat dish.

Steps:
- Wash the potatoes to remove any dirt and dust.
- Place potatoes in a medium sized saucepot, cover with about 1 inch of water.
- Place pot over medium heat and bring to a low boil.
- Boil potatoes about 20-25 minutes, or until fork tender.
- Remove potatoes from water, place in bowl and let cool a bit, do not discard potato water.
- Using a potato masher, mash up the potatoes, skin and all, until creamy.
- Add Buttermilk
- Add Mayonnaise
- Add Granulated Garlic Powder
- Add Salt and Pepper to taste
- Stir well, adding more liquid as needed to make creamy mashed potatoes.
- Taste test and add more salt, pepper, potato water or mayo as needed.
- Enjoy!
MASHED RED POTATOES

Steps:
- Place raw red potato cubes in a large steamer basket over a large pot of boiling water. Cover and steam until very tender, 25 to 30 minutes.
- When potatoes are nearly tender, melt butter in a small saucepan. Add garlic; cook and stir until fragrant, about 1 minute. Add salt and olive oil; stir until just heated through. Remove from heat.
- Transfer tender potatoes to a large bowl. Pour olive oil mixture over and mash with a potato masher to desired consistency. Garnish with chives if desired and serve.

- Place the potatoes into a large pot, and fill with enough water to cover. Add 1 teaspoon of the crushed garlic to the water for flavor. Bring to a boil, and cook for about 10 minutes, or until easily pierced with a fork.
- Drain the potatoes, and add the butter. Mash until the butter is melted. Mix in the half-and-half, steak seasoning, garlic powder, sugar, and remaining garlic. Mix potatoes with an electric mixer until smooth.

NOLA'S MASHED RED POTATOES

- In a saucepan cover unpeeled potatoes with cold water and bring to a boil. Cook just until tender -- do not overcook or potatoes will be watery. Drain well, return pan with potatoes to low heat and shake to dry. Squeeze in garlic cloves, cream, butter, and salt and pepper to taste. Mash together with a potato masher until ingredients are combined but potatoes are still lumpy.
