This homemade dressing is creamy & garlicky. Use as a dip for veggies or as a dressing for salad!

½ cup mayonnaise
¼ cup sour cream
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped )
1 clove garlic (minced or more to taste)
½ teaspoon onion powder
salt & black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Combine mayonnaise, sour cream, and vinegar in a bowl and whisk to combine.
  • Continue whisking while slowly adding olive oil. Stir in parsley, garlic, and onion powder.
  • Season with salt & pepper to taste.
  • Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving or up to 2-3 days in the fridge.

1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons minced onions
3 finely minced garlic cloves (or more if you dare!)
2 -4 tablespoons sugar (or to taste)
1/2 cup mayonnaise (not salad dressing)
1 1/2 cups sour cream
salt & freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, combine vinegar, water, onion and garlic; simmer until onion is tender (about 5 minutes).
  • Add in sugar and simmer until dissolved. Cool to room temperature.
  • Stir in mayonnaise, sour cream, salt and pepper.
  • Refrigerate dressing for 2 hours or more.
  • Delicious!

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup roasted garlic
3 tablespoons parmigiano-reggiano cheese, grated
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients and blend until smooth. I use my handy chopper.
  • If the dressing is too thick, thin with more cream.
  • To roast garlic - slice the top off a whole head of garlic. Place garlic on a piece of aluminum foil and drizzle with olive oil and salt. Wrap up and bake at 400 for about 40 minutes.

1 ¾ cups corn oil
1 ⅛ cups white vinegar
1 tablespoon minced garlic
½ cup white sugar
1 (16 ounce) bottle creamy Italian-style salad dressing
1 egg

Steps:

  • In a 1 quart container combine the corn oil, garlic and sugar. Shake well. Add vinegar and shake well again.
  • Fill the container the rest of the way with Italian dressing, leaving just enough room to add one egg. Add the egg, and blend with a blender or hand-held blender for about 2 minutes.
