Air Fryer Roasted Green Beans image

Our Air Fryer Roasted Green Beans are a flavorful, easy low carb recipe you can make in a traditional air fryer or Ninja Foodi.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 tablespoon lard (or bacon fat or cooking oil)
10.8 oz whole green beans (frozen)
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 tablespoon diced pimentos
garlic powder (to taste)
onion powder (to taste)
salt (to taste)

Steps:

  • If using the Ninja Foodi: Heat the lard in the main pot on the saute feature. (If using a traditional air fryer, heat lard in a large skillet on the stove.
  • Add all remaining ingredients and saute until green beans are bright green and glossy.
  • Air fry in batches in a single layer in the air fryer basket. (See video to watch how we air fry without the basket for bigger batches).
  • Air fry at 390 for 15 minutes and add additional minutes to reach desired crispiness.
  • Serve hot.

1 pound fresh green beans, cut into 2 inch pieces
1/2 pound sliced fresh mushrooms
1 small red onion, halved and thinly sliced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients; toss to coat., Arrange vegetables on greased tray in air-fryer basket. Cook until just tender, 8-10 minutes. Toss to redistribute; cook until browned, 8-10 minutes longer.

Get crispy, blistered green beans with very little oil, thanks to your air fryer! We added a simple gremolata topping of fragrant lemon zest, chopped parsley and garlic that's easy to make while the vegetables are cooking.

1 pound green beans, trimmed
1 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for serving
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup roughly chopped fresh parsley
1 small clove garlic, finely grated
Finely grated zest from 1/2 lemon
3 tablespoons roasted sliced almonds

Steps:

  • Preheat a 3.5-quart air fryer to 375 degrees F. Toss the green beans, olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon salt and several grinds of pepper in a large bowl until evenly combined. Transfer to the air-fryer basket and air-fry the green beans, tossing halfway through, until tender and blistered in spots, about 12 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, stir the parsley, garlic, lemon zest, 1/8 teaspoon salt and a couple grinds of pepper together in a small bowl until combined. Stir in the toasted almonds.
  • Place the green beans on a serving platter, top with the gremolata mixture and drizzle lightly with more olive oil.
