Simple Chocolate Mousse Recipe Recipe For Banana
CHOCOLATE BANANA MOUSSE
I have not tried this recipe. I got this recipe from Obesity Help. The recipe was posted by marylyn. Exchange 1 serving: 1 bread, 1 fat.

Steps:
- Combine chocolate, 1/4 cup of milk and sugar replacement in top of double boiler. (Chill remaining milk in freezer.)
- Cook and stir over simmering water until chocolate melts. Pour small amount of hot chocolate mixture over egg yolks and beat well. Pour egg mixture into chocolate mixture on top of double boiler. Stir in salt.
- Cook and stir until mixture thickens. Cool completely. Scrape cold or slightly frozen milk into mixing bowl and beat until very stiff. Fold chocolate mixture into stiffly beaten milk. Fold in vanilla and banana slices.
- Spoon into mold, freezer tray or individual cups and freeze until firm.

Steps:
- In a medium pot, combine the marshmallows and milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the marshmallows are completely melted, 5-7 minutes.
- Pour the marshmallow mixture over the chocolate in a medium heatproof bowl. Let sit for 2-3 minutes, then whisk until well combined and smooth.
- Divide the mixture between 4 serving cups. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until set.
- Top with whipped cream and grated chocolate, if desired.
- Enjoy!

- Pour well-chilled cream in a bowl, add the sugar and beat the cream to a consistency that it barely holds mounds, using an electric hand mixer or balloon whisk.
- Peel the bananas and mash them finely with a fork; add the lemon juice and incorporate this into the banana mousse. Reserve a few thin slices of banana for your decoration. Add a few drops of lemon juice to the reserved banana slices to avoid them from turning brown.
- Cut the chocolate into chunks and shards with a serrated knife. Melt the chocolate in a microwave or au-bain-marie over a stove, until the chocolate is completely melted and has a smooth consistency. Allow the melted chocolate to cool.
- Add the cooled melted chocolate, the banana-lemon mash and the instant coffee to the whipped cream and fold it together. Don't over-mix as you may lose the incorporated air.
