SLOW-COOKER HOISIN RIBS
Give pork ribs an Asian makeover with this tasty sticky hoisin pork recipe. Put it in the slow cooker and come back later for a delicious and tender feast of ribs. Serve with coconut rice and steamed broccoli.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spread pork ribs on a baking sheet; season with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned, about 30 minutes.
- Whisk hoisin sauce, sugar, soy sauce, white wine, tomato paste, garlic, chili-garlic sauce, and five-spice powder together in a bowl.
- Grease a slow cooker insert with cooking spray. Transfer pork ribs to the pot. Cover evenly with hoisin sauce mixture.
- Cook on Low, stirring halfway through, until pork ribs are tender, about 8 hours.

SLOW COOKER RIBS
These Slow Cooker ribs are going to melt in your mouth and fall off the bone! They are cooked low and slow so they are perfectly tender and then covered in a sauce that's absolutely to die for!

Steps:
- Prepare your ribs by removing the membrane and patting dry with a paper towel.
- Prepare the rub by combining brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Rub evenly on top of the ribs.
- Cut the ribs in half. Add half of the rack of the ribs into the bottom of the slow cooker. Pour half of the sauce on top and layer with the other rack with remaining sauce. You can also wrap the ribs around the slow cooker if the top will fit on.
- Cook the ribs on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove the ribs and set on a baking sheet. Pour the sauce on the top. Cook for 10 minutes until the tops get crispy. Brush with additional sauce if needed.

CROCKPOT SHORT RIBS AND RICE
Steps:
- Heat a skillet with the oil and brown the short ribs on all sides.
- Place all ingredients except the rice in an electric slow cooker. Mix them well.
- Cover and cook the short ribs on low for 8 to 10 hours or on high for 5 hours.
- Cook the rice by stovetop method or in a rice cooker.
- Serve the short ribs hot with the cooked rice on the side. With the short ribs and rice, you have the protein and starch portions of the meal. The juices from the meat make a good drizzle on the rice. If desired, you can cook them on high for a few minutes to concentrate them. Now you can be creative in deciding which vegetables to serve to round out the meal. Starting with a leafy green salad can give a good fresh component that takes only a couple of minutes to prepare. Adding a side of steamed vegetables is also a quick and easy accompaniment.

SLOW COOKER RIBS WITH RICE AND BROCCOLI

- Mix the following together in a large bowl or container: ketchup, brown sugar, onion flakes, cider vinegar, Worcestershire, chili powder, hot chili sauce, bay leaf, water and light beer.
- Slice ribs into strips and submerge in sauce in slow cooker. Leave overnight in fridge. In the morning, return center pot with cover to the outer crock and set on low heat.
- When you get home for supper, combine rice and water in a large microwave-safe pot or casserole dish. Cover and microwave at high for 10 minutes, then medium 10 minutes. Remove from microwave and let stand.
- Rinse broccoli in colander. Place in a microwave-safe pot with 2 tablespoons water and a little butter if desired. Cover. Microwave at high for 5 minutes, and let stand.

- Put everything in except sour cream, broccoli. and rice in the crock pot.
- Cook on low for 6 hours or on high for 4.
- Shred the chicken breasts with two forks.
- In a rice cooker (or however you like), cook the rice.
- Meanwhile, add broccoli to the crock pot and stir in. Cook for another 30 minutes.
- Stir in sour cream with the crock pot mixture. Enjoy over a bowl of rice.
