- Use the largest slow cooker you have in the house --- this is a BIG recipe, you need a 6-quart or above. brown meat if you are going to use it drain fat and add to crockpot stoneware insert (the meat. not the fat.) sprinkle seasoning packets on top of meat drain and rinse the beans and add add the ENTIRE contents of the corn and tomato cans stir. cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5. I think the longer you cook soup, the better, so if you have the time, opt for cooking on low. Stir well, and serve with a handful of shredded cheese and a dollop of sour cream.
SLOW COOKER TACO SOUP
This is a quick, throw together slow cooker soup with a Mexican flair. Teenagers love it. Serve topped with corn chips, shredded Cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream. Make sure you adjust the amount of chile peppers if you're sensitive about spicy foods.

- In a medium skillet, cook the ground beef until browned over medium heat. Drain, and set aside.
- Place the ground beef, onion, chili beans, kidney beans, corn, tomato sauce, water, diced tomatoes, green chile peppers and taco seasoning mix in a slow cooker. Mix to blend, and cook on Low setting for 8 hours.

- Place a large colander in the sink. Open all cans of beans and corn, place in the colander all at once to drain. In the meantime, chop the onion and garlic. In a large heated fry pan, crumble the ground beef and cook until about half way done. Add the onion and garlic and cook until soft.
- Add in the drained beans and corn, the can of beef broth, the Ranch dressing, taco seasoning and stir well. Add water if the mixture is not soupy enough.
- Simmer for 15 minutes or until flavors are blended. Sprinkle with some chopped raw onion and shredded cheese. Serve with corn chips.
