Steps:

preheat the oven to 180c
in a small saucepan put the butter, golden syrup or honey and the sugar and heat untill melted.
when everythings melted take the saucepan off the heat and add the oats, chocoatle drops and cherrys. mix well untill all gooey.
grease or line a tin and then scoop the mixture into the tin.
put in the oven and keep an eye on it as it will easily burn.
when cooked take out the oven and alow to cool before cutting into bars.

250g butter
250g soft brown sugar
175g golden syrup
425g oats
200g cherries , pitted and halved
50g coconut flakes

Steps:

Heat oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4 and line a 20 x 30cm baking tin with parchment. Melt the butter, sugar and syrup in a large pan over a medium heat. Once melted, stir in the oats, coating them well.
Tip ¾ of the mix into the tin and scatter the cherries over the top. Combine the remaining oat mix with the coconut flakes and tip on top of the cherries, making sure a few poke out. Bake for 30 mins, then remove from the oven and allow to cool before slicing into 12 flapjacks.

Place the butter, chocolate, cocoa powder, sugar and syrup into a medium pan; warm gently until the butter has melted and sugar dissolved.
Stir the oats and cherries into the melted mixture and combine well. Spread the mixture into the prepared tin and press down firmly.
Bake for about 30-35 minutes until the mixture is bubbling and a little darker at the edges – it will still feel soft in the centre.
