CHRISTMAS CHOCOLATE COVERED STRAWBERRIES



Christmas Chocolate Covered Strawberries image

Use red and green decorations to adorn your chocolate covered strawberries this Christmas. Great as gifts or a fun way to get kids on the kitchen.

2 pounds strawberries (18-20 evenly sized strawberries)
12 oz white chocolate
12 oz orange green and red melts
Coarse sugar
Decorator gel
Decorative sprinkles
Christmas sprinkle mix
Nonpareils
Jimmies

Steps:

  • First, line a sheet pan with waxed or parchment paper and place it in the freezer to chill. Insert a skewer into the stem end of each strawberry.
  • Place the chocolate and candy melts into separate glass or heat proof bowls.
  • Put about 2 inches of water into two saucepans and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Turn off the heat and set the bowls of chocolate over the water to melt. Stir chocolate until smooth.
  • Remove the sheet pan from the freezer.
  • Using the skewer as a handle, dip the fruit into the chocolate. Lift and turn, allowing excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl. Place dipped berries onto the chilled lined sheet pan.
  • Repeat with remaining strawberries.

12 strawberries
1/2 cup chocolate bark
1/2 cup almond bark
2 tablespoon crushed peppermint candy
2 tablespoon sprinkles

Steps:

  • Wash the strawberries and then let dry completely.
  • In microwave safe bowls, melt the chocolate in 30-second increments. I used white chocolate and milk chocolate.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set out any sprinkles or toppings desired for convenience.hoco
  • Dip each strawberry coating the bottom and sides and leaving only the top stem uncovered.
  • Place each strawberry on the parchment paper and sprinkle with your chosen toppings.
  • Let harden then enjoy!
