I grew up with coffee milk and coffee "cabinets". They are made with the Original Coffee Syrup from R.I. You can get coffee syrup online from Autocrat Coffee or Eclipse. Coffee milk is the official R.I. drink!

- Stir well with a spoon.

- Pour and serve immediately.

- In a large saucepan, combine first five ingredients over medium heat to just simmering (do not boil), stirring occasionally., Meanwhile, in a small bowl, beat cream until it begins to thicken. - Place ground coffee in filter basket of a drip coffeemaker. Add 2 cups cold water to water reservoir and bew according to manufacturer's directions. In a small saucepan, combine coffee and sugar; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer until redu ec by half, about 30 minutes. Remove from heat; transfer to a small bowl or covered container. Refrigerate, covered, 30 minutes or until cold. Store in the refrigerator, covered, up to 2 weeks. To prepare coffee milk: in a tall glass, mix 1 cup milk and 2-4 tablespoons coffee milk syrup.
SIMPLE COFFEE DRINK
This is a very simple clone for that overpriced name-brand bottled coffee drink I somehow became addicted to. It's also a great way to use the leftover coffee that always ends up getting dumped down the drain the next day.

- PREHEAT oven to 375°F Grease 9-inch-square baking pan.
- FOR CRUMB TOPPING:.
- COMBINE nuts, granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon and butter in medium bowl. Mix with fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- FOR CAKE:.
- Whisk together water and Coffee-mate in small bowl until smooth.
- Combine flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and butter in large mixer bowl.
- Beat by hand or on low speed with an electric mixer until flour is coated with the butter.
- Stir egg into butter-flour mixture. Gradually stir in Coffee-mate mixture.
- Spoon half of batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle half of crumb topping over batter. Spoon remaining batter over crumb topping. Sprinkle with remaining crumb topping.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan on wire rack for 15 minutes before cutting.
- Best served warm.
