Crock Pot Beef Tips With Creamy Gravy image

So Easy! Enjoy these beef tips at the end of a long day while they cook in your crock pot. Great over rice, noodles or potatoes. The gravy is made there for you.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 1/2 lbs beef sirloin, cut in pieces
1/2 cup onion, chopped
1 (10 ounce) cream of mushroom soup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup water
1/4 cup sour cream
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Brown beef tips in vegetable oil and place in crock pot. In same saucepan, sautee onions and place on top of beef tips.
  • Add mushroom soup, worcestershire sauce and water to same saucepan. Heat and stir to mix. Add to crock pot.
  • Turn crock pot to high for 1 hour and turn to low for 4 to 5 hours. Add sour cream during last 15 minutes and stir.
  • Note: Cream of mushroom soup will add some salty flavor. At end of cook time do a taste test and if too salty, add about 3-4 tablespoons of water which will dilute saltiness.

1/3 cup flour, seasoned with
salt & pepper
6 beef cube steaks, cut bite sized
1 tablespoon oil
1 large onion, sliced, to taste
3 cups water, divided
1 large green pepper, sliced, to taste
3 (25 g) envelopes gravy, your choice (I like onion, mushroom and beef)

Steps:

  • Place flour in resealable plastic bag.
  • Add beef and shake to coat.
  • In skillet, brown beef in oil til lightly browned on all sides.
  • Transfer to crock pot.
  • Add peppers, onion and 2 cups water.
  • Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours.
  • In bowl, whisk together remaining 1 cup water and gravy envelopes.
  • Add to crock and cook for last 30 minutes.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes, hot egg noodles or rice.

1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
4 lbs sirloin tip steaks
1/2 cup green onion, chopped
2 cups sliced mushrooms
10 1/2 ounces condensed beef broth
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons tomato paste or 2 tablespoons ketchup
1/4 cup dry red wine
3 tablespoons flour
buttered noodles

Steps:

  • In a plastic bag, combine 1/2 cup flour with the salt and pepper; toss with beef cubes to coat thoroughly. Place beef cubes in crock pot.
  • Place chopped green pepper and sliced mushrooms on top of beef cubes.
  • In a large pyrex measuring cup, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato paste or ketchup. Pour over beef and vegetables; stir well.
  • Cover and cook on LOW setting for 7 to 12 hours. ONE hour before serving, turn to HIGH setting. Make a smooth paste of red wine and 3 Tablespoons flour; stir into crock pot, blending well. Cover and cook until thickened.
  • Serve over Buttered Noodles.

1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of celery soup
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup

Steps:

  • Pour the soups into the slow cooker and whisk together.
  • Add the stew meat and stir well.
  • Cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours.
  • Serve over cooked white rice.

  • Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a 12-inch cast iron or other heavy skillet over MEDIUM-HIGH heat. When nice and hot, add half the beef cubes and season them with ½ teaspoon seasoning salt and fresh ground black pepper, to taste. Allow to sit, undisturbed for a couple of minutes then stir and cook just long enough to sear the beef without cooking it through. Use a slotted spoon to transfer beef to the slow cooker. Add remaining oil to pan and repeat with remaining beef cubes, seasoning salt and pepper.
  • Add the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce to the slow cooker and sprinkle the beef with the Italian seasoning and thyme. Sprinkle the diced onions and garlic over the top.Tuck a bay leaf into the mixture.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 7 hours or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours, or until beef is fork tender.
  • Combine water and cornstarch in a small bowl and add to slow cooker. Stir until sauce has thickened and cook on LOW for an additional 10 minutes. Remove bay leaf and serve.
