- In a large bowl, combine the oats, brown sugar and salt. Stir in remaining ingredients. Press into a greased 15x10x1-in. baking pan. Bake at 425° for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.

Great finger food for kids or adults, and especially suitable for anyone with food allergies since there is no wheat or milk in the recipe.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Grease a 9 inch by 13 inch pan, or two 8 inch by 8 inch pans.
- Combine all ingredients in bowl and mix well.
- It should be moist enough to form a ball, without extra liquid.
- Put mixture in prepared pans and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove from oven and cut into squares while still hot.
- Wait until the bars cool before trying to remove them from the pan.
- One tip: if the fruit is hard, soak it with a bit of water before starting to make this recipe because the fruit doesn't soften much in baking.

CHEWY OATMEAL BREAKFAST BARS TO-GO RECIPE BY TASTY
Here's what you need: almond butter, maple syrup, almond milk, vanilla, rolled oats, brown rice cereal, slivered almond, dried cranberry, dark chocolate, dark chocolate

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 325˚F (160˚C).
- Combine wet ingredients together in a large bowl.
- Then add in all the remaining dry ingredients.
- Add mixture into a 8x8 inch (20x20 cm) baking pan lined with greased parchment paper. Firmly press down mixture until it is one smooth layer. (If you grease the spatula as well it will prevent the mixture from sticking to it!)
- Bake 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool 10 minutes.
- Drizzle top with melted dark chocolate. Chill for 30 minutes, or until dark chocolate is solid.
- Cut into 8 equal pieces.
- Wrap each bar in parchment paper or foil.
- Store in the freezer for up to 3 months or in the refrigerator up to 1 week.
- Enjoy!

MARTY BARS: OATMEAL BREAKFAST BARS
This recipe was adapted from my friend Katie's friend Marty who created this healthy breakfast bar. This recipe is perfect for someone on a food plan for Overeater's Anonymous, people avoiding sugar or those using Weight Watchers to lose weight. Great served warm or cold! Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Additional bars can be stored in the freezer.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Mix mashed bananas, oats, frozen fruit, applesauce, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt together in a large bowl until well-combined.
- Spread mixture evenly on a nonstick jelly roll pan or rimmed baking sheet. Use a thick rolled piece of aluminum foil to block off edges if mixture does not reach all the way across.
- Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 25 minutes. Let cool in the pan, about 15 minutes. Cut into bars.

- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Brush an 8-by-8-inch baking dish with oil. Line bottom and two sides with parchment paper, leaving a 2-inch overhang on each side. Brush paper with oil. In a bowl, combine spelt, cherries, flaxseeds, pecans, pistachios, and salt; set aside.
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, peanut butter, oil, and vanilla. Cook over medium until melted. Add to dry ingredients and stir to combine. Transfer mixture to prepared pan; smooth top. Bake until golden and edges pull away from sides of pan, 20 to 25 minutes. Cool completely in pan. Using paper overhang, lift bars out of pan. On a cutting board, cut into 8 pieces using a serrated knife. Store in an airtight container, separating pieces with wax or parchment paper, for one week.
