MESQUITE BBQ BEANS
Steps:
- Set up grill for direct cooking over medium heat.
- In a bowl, stir to combine beans, mustard, mesquite sauce and bacon pieces.
- Pour bean mixture into 8-inch cast iron skillet. Cover beans with bacon slices. Cook on covered grill for 30 minutes.
- INDOOR: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare beans as directed and pour into a 2-quart oven proof casserole. Bake in oven 35 to 40 minutes or until beans have thickened and are bubbling.
GREEN MESQUITE BEANS FOR COOKOUT
Steps:
- Add all ingredients to a stock pot and stir thoroughly. Place on stove over high heat and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour or until beans are tender. Let sit for 30 minutes and they are ready to serve.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets. Whisk together the mesquite flour, all-purpose flour, and cinnamon; set aside.
- Beat the butter and sugar with an electric mixer in a bowl until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, allowing each egg to blend into the butter mixture before adding the next. Mix in the flour mixture until just incorporated. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
- Bake in the preheated oven until golden, 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.
