3 cubes ice, or as desired
4 fluid ounces sweet-and-sour cocktail mix
1 ¼ fluid ounces tequila
½ fluid ounce orange-flavored liqueur (such as Cointreau®)
½ fluid ounce brandy (such as Presidente®)
1 splash lime juice

Steps:

Rim a margarita glass with salt; place ice into glass. Pour cocktail mix, tequila, orange liqueur, brandy, and lime juice into a cocktail shaker, cover, and shake to combine. Pour into prepared glass.

1/2 cup pomegranate juice
1/2 cup superfine sugar
1 1/2 ounces white rum
1/2 ounce orange Curacao
3/4 ounce French (dry white) vermouth
Orange-peel twist, for garnish

Steps:

Make grenadine by combining the pomegranate juice with the superfine sugar in a jar. Shake until the sugar dissolves. (This will keep in the refrigerator for about a month.)
In a mixing glass, combine rum, Curacao, French vermouth and a dash of grenadine. Fill mixing glass 2/3 full of ice, and stir gently. Using a fine mesh strainer, pour into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a twist of orange peel.

Steps:

Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass. Alternatively, pineapple juice may be used instead of dry vermouth. Or omit the curaçao and grenadine, use 3/4 ounce dry vermouth and add a dash of Angostura bitters.
