Steps:
- Melt the butter in a large, nonstick skillet over medium heat. Stir in the onion, and cook until very tender, about 10 minutes. Stir in as much cabbage as will fit in the pan, and cook until the cabbage is very tender, about 15 minutes. Stir in the remaining cabbage as the mixture cooks down.
- Meanwhile, fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Once the water is boiling, stir in the egg noodles, and return to a boil. Cook the pasta uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta has cooked through, but is still firm to the bite, about 5 minutes. Drain well in a colander set in the sink.
- Stir the kielbasa into the cabbage mixture and cook a few minutes to warm. Fold in the egg noodles, then gently fold in the pierogis. Cover, and cook until the pierogis are hot in the center, about 10 minutes more. Season to taste with salt and pepper before serving.

STEELERS GAME DAY SAUSAGE
This recipe appeared in the January 29, 2006, Post-Gazette Food Section - "Pittsburgh Super Bowl Recipes" - and ran in the Seattle papers. What Pittsburgh Eats is Sausage - stacked with peppers, onions and sauce, on a great Mancini's Italian sausage bun. When the sauce starts to drip down your chin, the bun can work as a sponge so you don't lose a drop! The amounts of the sausage and spices can be adjusted to suit individual taste.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS ROETHLIS-BURGER
My DH is a huge Steelers fan. Ben Roethlisberger is the quarterback for the team and apparently pretty popular in the Pittsburgh area. DH heard about these burgers and had to have one! There seem to be different versions..this is a combo of 2 of them.

STEELER'S GAME DAY HOAGIE
All around Western Pennsylvania, big sandwiches are a must for tailgating. I am asked to always bring this sandwich when we go to any game day parties. This is a sandwich for hearty appetites and dieter's beware. When you go to the deli make sure your meats and cheese are sliced very thin. This is a large sandwich and feeds 10 people .

EDIBLE SNACK BOWL
Dubbed the "Super Bowl" - this recipe was featured in the Jan/Feb 2010 issue of Food Network Magazine. Stashing for safe keeping. You will also need aluminum foil and an ovenproof 3 quart bowl to pull this trick off. The article says it is strong enough to hold dip! The original recipe didn't include servings, so 8 is an estimation. Prep time includes time to cool as well.

Steps:
- Preheat your oven to 325°F
- Beat the egg whites with the water with a mixer until you get slightly stiff peaks. Pour in the snack mix and toss until everything is evenly coated.
- Take your ovenproof 3-quart bowl and spray it down heavily with your cooking spray. Add your egg white/snack mix mixture into this bowl. Take a big piece of aluminum foil and wad it up into a bowl shape that about 1/3 of your 3 quart bowl. Spray your foil mold down with cooking spray and push it down into the middle of the snack mix, making a dent or well in the middle. This will make the snack mix take on a bowl form.
- Place into the oven and bake for approximately 30 minutes, or until the mix sets. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. Remove the foil and allow the snack mix bowl to cool for another 30 minutes. Then you can invert and remove your snack bowl. Allow it to cool completely before adding dip.

KITTENCAL'S CLASSIC CLUB SANDWICH
A family favorite, especially on Super Bowl game day! The amounts listed are only a guideline, you can adjust all ingredient amounts to taste. Purchase the sliced sandwich bread for this, use white or whole wheat. If you prefer lots on the mayo mixture on your sandwich then increase the mayo to 3/4 cup and the Dijon to 1-1/2 tablespoons. You will LOVE these sandwiches!!!!
