This easily prepared slow cooker curried chicken is both tasty and easy on the budget! The recipe calls for 8 legs so leftovers are possible, but you may use fewer.

3/4 cup onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1/4 cup orange marmalade
1/2 teaspoon curry powder

Steps:

  • Place chicken in one layer in slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle onion over top.
  • Mix remaining ingredients and spread over chicken.
  • Cover and cook on low 7-8 hours or until chicken is tender and cooked through.

8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
8 dashes hot pepper sauce
1/2 cup pecans, , finely chopped
1/2 cup mango chutney
4 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled

Steps:

  • Blend together cheese, salt, curry, Worcestershire and hot pepper sauces together. Shape into a ball, then flatten to 1/2-inch thick. Easy to make and good on so many things. This recipe started out as a sauce for my family's annual fondue dinner. However we now make a huge jar of it at thanksgiving too for leftover turkey sandwiches.
