If you're craving banana cake but don't have much time, try this easy 4 ingredient banana cake. A semi homemade cake with chocolate frosting.

3 ripe bananas ((peeled and mashed))
2 large eggs
½ cup vegetable oil
1 box yellow cake mix ((15.25 ounces))
chocolate frosting ((for topping the cake))

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, mash bananas. Add eggs and oil. Mix well.
Mix in yellow cake mix until all ingredients are blended together.
Transfer batter to prepared baking dish. Smooth batter evenly in pan.
Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Cool completely.
Frost with your favorite chocolate frosting or dust with powdered sugar.

2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 pinch salt
½ cup unsalted butter
1 cup white sugar
¾ cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
4 ripe bananas, mashed
⅔ cup buttermilk
½ cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour 2 - 8 inch round pans. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt; set aside.
In a large bowl, cream butter, white sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Mix in the bananas. Add flour mixture alternately with the buttermilk to the creamed mixture. Stir in chopped walnuts. Pour batter into the prepared pans.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, and place on a damp tea towel to cool.

4 ripe bananas, mashed
2 cups all-purpose flour

Steps:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease and flour one 9 x 13 inch cake pan.
Cream together the butter or margarine and the sugar.
Add eggs, bananas, flour, soda, salt, nuts, and vanilla. Mix thoroughly and pour batter into the prepared pan.
Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 30 minutes. Cool and frost cake.
