1 whole chicken, 3-4 pound (1.3 -1.8 grams)
½ teaspoon kosher salt
½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature

Steps:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350˚F (180˚C).
  • Pat the chicken dry all over, including inside the cavity, with paper towels.
  • In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Rub the butter all over the breast side of the chicken, including under the skin of the breasts. Sprinkle the spice mixture all over the breast side of the chicken and rub to coat well. Tie the chicken legs together with kitchen twine.
  • Place the chicken, breast-side down, in the air fryer and "fry" for 30 minutes. Carefully flip the chicken breast-side up and continue cooking for 20 minutes more, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes before carving.
  • Enjoy!

1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more to taste
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more to taste
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 large eggs, beaten
½ cup buttermilk
2 ½ cups panko breadcrumbs
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1 in (2.54 cm)
nonstick cooking spray, for greasing
ketchup, for serving

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. In a separate medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and buttermilk. Add the panko to a third medium bowl.
  • Season the chicken cubes with salt and pepper. Dip 1 piece of chicken at a time in the flour mixture, making sure to fully coat each piece and shaking off any excess. Dip the chicken in the egg mixture. Then, coat the chicken in the panko. Repeat with remaining chicken.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Spray the basket with nonstick spray.
  • Working in batches, arrange the chicken in the basket, making sure the pieces are not touching. Cook until light golden, 5 minutes, then flip the chicken over and continue cooking until cooked through and golden brown, 5 minutes more. Repeat with the remaining chicken.
  • Serve the popcorn chicken with ketchup.

3 teaspoons kosher salt, divided
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper, divided
1 lb chicken drumstick
1 cup all purpose flour
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder,
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 large eggs
nonstick cooking spray, for greasing
honey, hot, for serving

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, 2 teaspoons of salt, and 1 teaspoon of pepper. Add the chicken drumsticks and turn to coat, then cover the bowl with plastic wrap. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, up to 24 hours.
  • In a shallow bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining teaspoon of salt, remaining teaspoon of pepper, the paprika, onion powder, and garlic powder. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
  • Remove a drumstick from the marinade and coat in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess. Dip the chicken in the eggs, then back into the flour. Repeat with the remaining drumsticks.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200˚C). Spray the basket with nonstick spray.
  • Set 2 drumsticks in the air fryer, making sure they aren't touching, and cook until light golden, 12 minutes. Flip the chicken over and continue cooking until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C), about 12 minutes more. If you see any dry, floury spots showing, spray with cooking spray and cook for 1 more minute. Repeat with the remaining chicken.
  • Serve with hot honey.

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 360 degrees F (182 degrees C).
  • Brush both sides of the chicken breast with olive oil and season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on one side. Set chicken breast, seasoned side down, into the air fryer basket and sprinkle the other side with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Air-fry for 9 minutes, flip, and cook until chicken breast is no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, 9 more minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
  • Transfer chicken breast onto a plate and loosely cover with foil. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.

1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon rubbed sage
1 large egg, beaten
1 broiler/fryer chicken (3 to 4 pounds), cut up
Cooking spray

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°. In a shallow bowl, mix the first 7 ingredients. Place egg in a separate shallow bowl. Dip chicken in egg, then in cracker mixture, patting to help coating adhere. In batches, place chicken in a single layer on greased tray in air-fryer basket, spritz with cooking spray., Cook 10 minutes.
