My mom taught me how to make egg rolls, and since she has passed away I think of her every time I make them. These air-fryer egg rolls taste so good, you'll never want a fast-food egg roll again. -Jenniffer Love, South Waltham, Massachusetts

Number Of Ingredients 12

2 cups hot water
3 cups fresh bean sprouts
1 pound ground chicken
6 green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon minced fresh gingerroot
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 jar (11 ounces) Chinese-style sauce or duck sauce, divided
1 tablespoon fish sauce or soy sauce
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 package (14 ounces) coleslaw mix
1 package (10 ounces) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
18 egg roll wrappers

Steps:

  • Pour hot water over bean sprouts in a small bowl; let stand 5 minutes. Drain., Meanwhile, in a Dutch oven, cook chicken over medium heat until no longer pink, 6-8 minutes, breaking into crumbles. Add green onions, ginger and garlic. Cook 1 minute longer; drain. Stir in 1/2 cup Chinese-style sauce, fish sauce and soy sauce; transfer to a large bowl. Wipe pan clean., In the same pan, cook and stir coleslaw mix, spinach and drained bean sprouts until crisp-tender, 4-5 minutes. Stir into chicken mixture. Cool slightly., Preheat air fryer to 400°. With one corner of an egg roll wrapper facing you, place 1/3 cup filling just below center of wrapper. (Cover remaining wrappers with a damp paper towel until ready to use.) Fold bottom corner over filling; moisten remaining wrapper edges with water. Fold side corners toward center over filling. Roll egg roll up tightly, pressing at tip to seal. Repeat., In batches, arrange egg rolls in a single layer in greased air-fryer basket; spritz with cooking spray. Cook until golden brown, 8-12 minutes. Turn; spritz with additional cooking spray. Cook golden brown, 4-6 minutes longer. Serve with remaining Chinese-style sauce.

Air Fryer S'mores Egg Rolls image

Air-fried and crispy on the outside, these s'mores egg rolls are filled with melted chocolate and marshmallows on the inside, with extra marshmallow fluff served on the outside to dunk into. The perfect twist on a campfire treat.

1 cup crushed graham crackers, divided
1/2 cup marshmallow fluff
2 (1.55 oz) Hershey bars, chopped
5 wonton wrappers
2 tbsps butter, melted
extra marshmallow fluff and chocolate sauce for serving

Steps:

  • In a medium mixing bowl, stir together ¾ cup of the crushed graham crackers, fluff and chocolate.
  • Place a wonton wrapper on the counter, so it's in a diamond shape directionally in reference to you. Add two tablespoons of the graham cracker filling to the bottom half of the wrapper. Pull the bottom corner over the top of the filling, bring in both sides to the middle. Dip your finger into some water and run it on the edge of the top corner. Roll the egg roll towards the top to seal it. Repeat this with the remaining filling.
  • Brush the melted butter over the top of each eggroll and sprinkle with the crushed graham crackers.
  • Place the egg rolls into the basket of your air fryer. Turn the air fryer to 400° F for 11 minutes.
  • Serve with some chocolate sauce and/or marshmallow topping for dipping on the side.

1/4 cup Nutella, divided
2 whole graham crackers, broken up
2 tablespoons milk chocolate chips
2/3 cup miniature marshmallows

Steps:

  • Preheat air fryer to 300°. Unroll crescent dough; separate into 8 triangles. Place 1 teaspoon Nutella at the wide end of each triangle. Sprinkle with graham crackers, chocolate chips and marshmallows; roll up., In batches, arrange rolls, point side down, in a single layer on greased tray in air-fryer basket. Curve to form crescents. Cook until golden brown, 8-10 minutes. In a microwave, warm remaining Nutella to reach a drizzling consistency; spoon over rolls. Serve warm.

I know everyone likes s'mores, but I am a s'mores freak. When it's not possible to use a fire outside, I "roast" marshmallows on a fork over my kitchen burner, which is not ideal. Air fryers change the game: they cook the outside to golden brown perfection and the inside to the perfect gooeyness.

1 regular marshmallow
1 sheet honey graham cracker, halved crosswise into 2 squares
One 0.375-ounce square milk chocolate, such as Hershey's (see Cook's Note)

Steps:

  • Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  • Place the marshmallow inside and set the timer for 3 minutes. Meanwhile, place the graham cracker squares hole-side down on a plate and top one with the chocolate. After the marshmallow has cooked for 2 minutes, open the air fryer and place both graham squares inside. Roll the marshmallow onto the plain graham square and cook 1 minute more.
  • Transfer the graham squares to a plate with a spatula, then sandwich them and eat while the s'more is still warm and gooey.
