4 cups water
1 ounce almond syrup
1 cup whole milk
ground nutmeg (optional) or cinnamon (optional)

Steps:

  • Prepare a strong tea with 8 tea bags in 4 cups (32 oz.) boiling water.
  • Steep for 5 minutes.
  • Remove tea bags.
  • Pour 5 oz. of hot tea into each tea cup, add almond syrup and stir.
  • Steam whole milk and top tea with a little steamed milk.
  • Sprinkle with spice if desired.

Steps:

  • Combine 1 cup water and brown sugar in a saucepan; bring to a boil, stirring frequently. Remove from heat; stir in almond extract and vanilla extract.
  • Combine remaining water and almond milk in a saucepan; bring to a boil. Add tea bags; steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags; stir in extract mixture. Fill two tall glasses with ice; pour in tea.

In a small saucepan, heat about 1 ½ cups of almond milk on medium heat. You don’t want to bring it to a boil. Instead, whisk consistently in a rapid motion until the milk is hot and slightly frothy. Remove from heat.
  • Optional: Once removed from the heat, you can add a small portion of the milk to a separate bowl and continue to whisk to create a thicker foam. A latte should have one part coffee and three parts milk. Within the milk, the majority of it should be steamed with only a small portion on top being foam.
