Apple Breakfast Bread image

Warm sweet apple bread is perfect for breakfast or for a snack. I have enjoyed this recipe many times.

½ cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ teaspoon ground cloves
2 apples - peeled, cored and chopped

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease an 8x4 inch loaf pan.
  • In a bowl, mix the butter and sugar until smooth and creamy. Beat in the eggs.
  • In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and cloves. Mix into the butter mixture until moistened. Fold in the apples. Transfer to the prepared loaf pan.
  • Bake 1 hour in the preheated oven, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 1/4 cups grated baking apples
1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • In a large bowl stir together flour, sugar, oatmeal, cinnamon, baking powder, lemon zest and salt. In a separate container, beat together eggs, milk and melted butter.
  • Make a well in the center of the dry ingredient; pour in the egg mixture and stir just until evenly combined.
  • Fold in grated apple and walnuts.
  • Pour batter into a greased 9x5 inch loaf pan. Bake 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow bread to cool on a baking rack for at least 20 minutes before removing from pan.

3 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1/4 cup Baker's Special Dry Milk
1/4 cup potato flour
3 tablespoons butter, softened
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon butter-cinnamon flavor
2 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast
1/2 cup wheat germ nuts
1/2 cup cinnamon flav-r-bite
3/4 cup apple nugget
1 1/3-1 1/2 cups water

Steps:

  • *Use the lesser amount in the summer, the greater amount in the winter, and something in between in the spring and fall.
  • Place all of the ingredients into the pan of your bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Program for basic white bread, and press Start. Check the dough's consistency about 7 min.
  • after the kneading cycle begins, adding additional water of flour to form a smooth, soft ball of dough.
  • Allow the machine to complete its cycle. Remove the b read when it's done, and let it cool completely before slicing.
  • Note: This bread makes great toast!

1-1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 large eggs, room temperature
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/3 cup canola oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups chopped peeled tart apples
TOPPING:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
1/3 cup cold butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. In another bowl, whisk eggs, applesauce, oil and vanilla. Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened. Fold in apples. Transfer to two greased 8x4-in. loaf pans., For topping, combine flour, sugar and walnuts; cut in butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over batter., Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 45-55 minutes. Cool 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks.

2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
¼ teaspoon baking powder
2 cups all-purpose flour
4 cups peeled and diced apples
1 ½ cups chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour two 8x4-inch loaf pans.
  • Whisk sugar, oil, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, baking soda, and baking powder together in a large mixing bowl. Stir in flour just until evenly mixed. Add apples and walnuts; stir until well blended. Pour into the prepared loaf pans.
