BACON WRAPPED BRATWURST

Steps:
- Poke bratwurst several times with a small fork, and place into a saucepan with the beer. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium, and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove the bratwurst from the beer, and allow to cool to room temperature.
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, and place a wire rack on top.
- Toss the brown sugar and cayenne pepper together in a large bowl and set aside. Cut each bratwurst into three pieces, wrap each piece with half strip of bacon, and secure with a toothpick. Toss the bratwurst with the cayenne mixture to coat, then place onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in preheated oven until the bacon is brown and crisp, 25 to 35 minutes.

- To make the beer brats, preheat oven to 425. Line your jelly roll with foil or parchment paper. Piece each of your brats several times with a fork. In a large skillet, place half of the bratwursts and pour in 24 ounces of American lager. Once the beer is close to boiling, turn it down to low and let the brats simmer for 15-20 minutes, turning after ten minutes. The brats are done with they are no longer pink on the inside. In the meantime, cut your bacon in thirds. In a separate bowl mix the brown sugar, dry mustard, and cayenne pepper together. Now that the brats are done, let them cool until you can handle them. Then cut the brats into thirds. Wrap a piece of bacon around the brat, roll them in your sugar mixture and place them on your baking sheet with the bacon flap side down. Bake them for about 20-25 minutes. Let them drain on paper towels before serving. Add some mustard to your serving plate, and let them eat!

- Line a baking sheet with aluminium foil and set an oven safe wire rack on top. Lay strips of bacon on the rack and bake for 15 minutes, until starting to cook but not crispy or fully done. Remove from oven and reduce heat to 350 degrees. Carefully drain bacon fat and replace aluminum foil when cool enough to handle.
- Meanwhile, whisk the lager, Worcestershire, dry mustard, and garlic salt in a large pot. Poke the brats a few time with the tines of a fork and add to the pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, flipping the brats once halfway through.
