COUNTRY OATMEAL COOKIES IN A JAR

Steps:

• Using a 1 quart jar, layer in the ingredients in the order given.
• Pack down the jar after each addition.
• Replace the lid and cover with an 8 inch circle of fabric.
• Secure the fabric with a rubber band, cover the rubber band with a piece of ribbon or raffia around the lid.
• Attach a tag to the ribbon with the following instructions:.
• Preheat oven to 350°F.
• In a medium bowl, cream together 3/4 cup softened butter, with 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
• Add the entire contents of the jar and mix by hand until combined.
• Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
• Bake for 12-15 mins in a preheated oven.

• Using a 1 quart or 1 liter jar, layer in the ingredients in the order given. Pack down the jar after each addition. Put the lid on, and cover with an 8 inch circle of fabric. Secure the fabric over the lid using a rubber band, then cover the rubber band by tying a nice piece of ribbon or raffia around the lid. Attach a tag to the ribbon with the following instructions:
• Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). In a medium bowl, cream together 3/4 cup of softened butter, with 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Add the entire contents of the jar, and mix by hand until combined. Drop dough by heaping spoonfuls onto an unprepared cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven.

OATMEAL RAISIN SPICE COOKIES IN A JAR

Steps:

• Mix together flour, cinnamon, ground nutmeg, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
• Layer ingredients in order given in a 1 quart canning jar. Try and find one with a wide mouth as it will much easier to pack. Getting all the ingredients to fit will require some pressing and tapping. Please be sure to firmly pack down each layer in place before adding the flour mixture.

COUNTRY CHOCOLATE CHIP OATMEAL COOKIES

Steps:

• 1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. 2. Place all of the jar ingredients in a medium-sized bowl, and stir until well combined. Set aside. 3. Place the butter, eggs, and vanilla extract in a large bowl, and cream with an electric mixer set on low speed or with a fork. 4. Add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, and mix with a spoon until well combined. 5. Drop the dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet, spacing the cookies about 2 inches apart to allow for spreading. 6. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, or until light brown in color. Allow to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet. Then transfer to wire racks and cool completely. 7. Serve immediately, or store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks. CREATING THE JAR1. Wash and thoroughly dry a 1-quart wide-mouth canning jar.2.
