Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Scoop out the core from top of the apple, leaving a well. Do not cut all the way through. Stuff each apple with 2 tablespoons brown sugar and 1 tablespoon butter. Place in a shallow baking dish and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, until sugar begins to caramelize and apples are tender.

- Spread the apple slices into the bottom of a small baking dish. Whisk the water and cornstarch together in a small bowl; pour over the apple slices and gently stir. Sprinkle the sugar and cinnamon over the apple slices.
- Cook in the preheated oven until the apples are tender, about 15 minutes.

- Core and peel apples, then cut into thick chunks. Arrange in 8-inch square baking dish. Combine sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sprinkle over apples. Dot with margarine and sprinkle with water. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes or until apples are soft but not mushy. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.

- In a large bowl, cream the butter, sugar and vanilla. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine the flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and baking soda; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well (batter will be stiff). Stir in apples until well combined., Spread into a greased 13x9-in. baking dish. Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until top is lightly browned and springs back when lightly touched. - Ask a grown-up to turn the oven on to 200C/180C fan/ gas 6. Sit each apple on the worktop and push the apple corer into the centre of each one (or ask a grown-up to do this for you).
- Mix the sultanas, muscovado sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl.
- Stand up the apples, side by side, in a baking dish. Using your fingers, push a little bit of the sultana mixture into each apple, using up all the mixture between them.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- In a very large, microwave-safe mixing bowl, heat the butter in the microwave until it melts. If your bowl is not microwave safe, melt the butter in a small microwave-safe bowl or in a saucepan on the stove, then pour it into the larger bowl.
- To the mixing bowl, add the apple slices, honey, cornstarch, cinnamon, allspice, salt, and bourbon. Stir to coat.
- Pour the mixture into a deep 9x9 or similarly sized baking dish. Pour any liquid that has collected in the bottom of the bowl over the top.
- Bake the apples for 25 minutes, until fork tender but not completely mushy.
