500g beef mince
1 egg
½ cup tasty cheese, grated
2 tsp garlic mince
1 carrot, grated
1 onion, finely chopped
1 cup breadcrumbs
2 tablespoon Dijon mustard
¼ cup tomato sauce
1-2 tablespoons oil

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients, except oil in a bowl
  • Take off your rings and mix with hands
  • Shape into desired size rissoles
  • Cook on BBQ or heat oil in a hot frying pan
  • Cook until browned each side and cooked through, approximately 8 min each side

2 slices bacon, chopped finely
1 lb ground beef
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg
3 green onions
1/4 cup coarsely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 cups beef stock
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Cook bacon in a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat until crisp. Remove from heat.
  • Using your hands, combine bacon, beef, breadcrumbs, egg, finely chopped green onions, parsley, Worcestershire sauce and half the barbecue sauce; mix well. Shape mixture into eight rissoles (small patties.).
  • Heat oil in the non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook rissoles until browned on both sides and cooked through. Remove from pan, cover to keep warm.
  • Drain any excess oil from pan, add mustard, stock and remaining barbecue sauce; bring to the boil. Combine cornstarch and water, stir into gravy and cook until gravy thickens.
  • Serve rissoles with gravy, cabbage mash, and cooked greens.

1 lb ground beef
1 ounce bacon (finely chopped)
1/2 small onion, finely chopped
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 1/2 tablespoons chopped flat leaf parsley
4 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme leaves
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 large egg, lightly beaten
olive oil

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the Ground Beef, Bacon, Onion, Garlic, Parsley, Thyme, Mustard, Paprika, Worcestershire Sauce, and Egg.
  • Season with Salt and Pepper.
  • Using your hands, mix well and form into 8 round balls, then flatten into 1/2-inch-thick rissoles.
  • KEEP all ingredients cold.
  • DIP hands in cold water before forming the meatballs.
  • Preheat a barbecue or indoor grill pan to medium-high heat.
  • Brush the Rissoles with olive oil and cook for 6 to 8 minutes, turning once, or until golden brown on both sides and cooked through.
  • in the last minute, splash more Worcestershire Sauce on the meatballs to steam/caramelize.
  • Remove from the heat and rest for 5 minutes.
