1 cup sugar
1/4 cup canola oil
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped black walnuts

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, beat sugar and oil until blended. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa and salt; gradually add to sugar mixture and mix well. Stir in walnuts. , Pour into a greased 8-in. square baking pan. Bake at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.

1/4 cup shortening
3 tablespoons baking cocoa
1 egg
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, cream shortening and cocoa; beat in egg, sugar and vanilla. Combine dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture. Beat on low speed until thoroughly combined. Stir in walnuts. , Pour into a greased 8x4-in. loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

1 package fudge brownie mix (8-inch square pan size)
1 large egg
1/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup water
1-1/2 cups vanilla or white chips, divided
14 to 16 milk chocolate kisses
14 to 16 striped chocolate kisses
1-1/2 teaspoons shortening

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, stir brownie mix, egg, oil and water until well blended. Fold in 1 cup vanilla chips. , Pour into a greased 9-in. heart-shaped or round springform pan. Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted 2 in. from edge of pan comes out clean., Let stand for 10 minutes; alternate milk chocolate and striped kisses around edge of pan with points toward center. Melt shortening and remaining chips; stir until smooth. Drizzle over brownie. Cool completely. Remove sides of springform pan before cutting.

4 eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 1/4 cups flour

1 cup hammons black walnut
1 cup hershey semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup hersheys semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons milk
black walnut ice cream (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Grease and flour a 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 x 1 inch jelly roll pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine butter, cocoa, sugar, eggs and vanilla; blend well.
  • Stir together flour, salt and baking powder.
  • Stir into cocoa mixture until smooth.
  • Add black walnuts and mini kisses.
  • Spread evenly in the prepared pan and bake 25 minutes on middle oven rack.
  • Cool before cutting.
  • Optional: individually warm cut brownies slightly before serving.
  • Makes 3 to 5 dozen.
  • Topping: Melt mini kisses over low heat, stirring continually.
  • Stir in milk.
  • Drizzle over warm brownies just before serving.
  • If desired, top with black walnut ice cream.

1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup cocoa powder
1 ¾ cup sugar
4 egg, room temperature
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 ¼ cup all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
⅔ cup walnut pieces, toasted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 F and grease an 8 x 11 inch baking pan.
  • Melt butter (over stove or in microwave) and pour into a larger bowl. Sift cocoa into butter and stir in. Stir in sugar.
  • Add eggs to mixture, blending well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt (do not sift). Add to cocoa mixture and blend. Stir in walnuts.

3-1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in 1-1/4 cups walnuts. Finely chop the remaining nuts. , Shape dough into two 15-in. rolls. Roll in chopped nuts, pressing gently. Wrap each in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm. , Unwrap dough; cut into 1/4-in. slices. Place 2 in. apart on greased baking sheets. Bake at 300° for 12 minutes or until lightly browned. 2 cups brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup butter, softened
4 ounces baking chocolate, softened in microwave
4 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour, sifted with
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup black walnut, lightly toasted and chopped

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 325 degrees.
  • Lightly grease a loaf pan.

Steps:
