This old fashioned Peach Cobbler recipe is not only extremely easy to make from scratch, but it's made with fresh or canned peaches so you can enjoy it all year round!

Ingredients

5 peaches (, peeled, cored and sliced (about 4 cups))
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 Tablespoons butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup milk
ground cinnamon

Steps:

Add the sliced peaches, sugar and salt to a saucepan and stir to combine. *(If using canned peaches, skip steps 1 & 2 and follow the directions starting at step 3)
Cook on medium heat for just a few minutes, until the sugar is dissolved and helps to bring out juices from the peaches. Remove from heat and set aside.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Slice butter into pieces and add to a 9x13 inch baking dish. Place the pan in the oven while it preheats, to allow the butter to melt. Once melted, remove the pan from the oven.
In a large bowl mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk, just until combined. Pour the mixture into the pan, over the melted butter and smooth it into an even layer.
Spoon the peaches and juice (or canned peaches, if using) over the batter. Sprinkle cinnamon generously over the top.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 38-40 minutes. Serve warm, with a scoop of ice cream, if desired.

1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup white sugar (divided)
1/2 cup milk
1 (29 ounce) can sliced peaches, reserve juice
1/3 cup butter
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons brown sugar

Steps:

Cream butter and 1/2 cup of the white sugar.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt and add to the creamed mixture then add the milk and mix well.
Pour batter into buttered 8x8 baking dish.
Top with peach slices, then pour all of the reserved peach juice over the peaches.
Top with the remaining sugars and cinnamon.
Bake for 45 minutes at 375 degrees.

Baking mix and canned peaches are the keys to this ultra-easy peach cobbler that can be enjoyed any time of year. We love the rustic look of the cobbler in a cast-iron pan but you can also make it in a baking dish. Either way, a scoop of vanilla ice cream is the perfect topper.

3/4 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups baking mix, such as Bisquick Original Pancake and Baking Mix ™
1 1/2 cups milk, at room temperature
1 1/4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1 1/4 cups packed dark brown sugar
Three 15-ounce cans sliced peaches, drained
Vanilla ice cream, for serving

Steps:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Place the butter in a 12-inch round cast-iron skillet or a 9-by-13-inch baking dish and place in the preheating oven to just melt the butter, 5 to 10 minutes.
Whisk the baking mix, milk, cinnamon and nutmeg together in a medium bowl. Toss the brown sugar and peaches together in a separate medium bowl and set aside.
Remove the pan from the oven and swirl the butter or use a pastry brush to coat the bottom and sides of the pan, then pour the melted butter into the batter. Whisk until combined, then pour the batter into the buttered pan. Spoon the peaches and brown sugar syrup evenly over the top of the batter.
Bake until golden brown and the peach juices are bubbling, 45 to 55 minutes.
Let cool to room temperature before serving with ice cream.
