CABBAGE GOULASH
Cabbage is a very Southern dish. People who don't even like cabbage love this recipe. This goulash is good served with French bread or hard rolls, and I usually make a pot of pinto beans to go along with it.

- In a large kettle, cook the sausage, beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes or until cabbage is tender.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Thinly slice the onion and finely shred the cabbaage. In a heavy pan over a medium flame, cook the onion and the coconut in the oil until light brown. Add cabbage and water. Stir 5 minutes and then add the vinegar, cumin, salt and pepper. Cover pan and cook 10 minutes or until all the liquid has been absorbed. Or transfer to a baking dish and bake in oven 10 to 20 minutes or until all the liquid has been absorbed.
