Cara Cara Orange Margarita image

Just the right amount of sweet, these Cara Cara Orange Margaritas really hit the spot. Made with tequila and orange liqueur, it's always a good time to mix one of these delicious drinks, especially when cara caras are in season!

2 Cara Cara Oranges (1 juiced, 1 sliced)
1 Lime
2 oz Tequila
1 oz Triple Sec or Grand Marnier
Margarita Salt
Maraschino cherries (for garnish)
Optional: 1 tsp Simple Syrup (to taste)

Steps:

  • Before making the drink, salt the glass and chill it by filling it with ice.
  • First, juice the orange and the lime.
  • In a cocktail shaker or jar, combine the Cara Cara orange juice, lime juice, tequila, and triple sec. Shake well.
  • Pour the drink over ice.
  • Garnish with an orange slice and cherries on a cocktail pick.
