Chocolate Chip Popcorn Bars Recipes

POPCORN BARS

Steps:

• In a Dutch oven, melt butter; add corn syrup and marshmallows. Cook and stir over low heat for 3-4 minutes or until smooth. Add popcorn; stir until coated. Stir in peanuts and M&M's until combined. Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. pan. Cool to room temperature. Cut into bars.

POPCORN COOKIES

Steps:

• Preheat oven to 350°. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes; beat in egg and vanilla. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda and salt; gradually beat into creamed mixture. Stir in popcorn, chocolate chips and pecans., Drop by tablespoonfuls 2 in. apart onto greased baking sheets. Bake until golden brown, 13-14 minutes. Remove to wire racks to cool.

CHOCOLATE CHEX® CARAMEL CORN BARS

Steps:

• Butter bottom and sides of 13x9-inch pan. Remove and discard unpopped kernels from popped popcorn. In large bowl, mix popcorn, cereal and pretzels; set aside.
• In 2-cup microwavable measuring cup, microwave brown sugar, corn syrup and butter uncovered on High 1 to 2 minutes or until boiling, stirring after 1 minute. Microwave 30 seconds longer; stir. Pour over cereal mixture in bowl, stirring until evenly coated. Press firmly in pan.
• In small microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips uncovered on High 30 seconds to 1 minute or until chips can be stirred smooth. Drizzle over bars. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. For bars, cut into 8 rows by 4 rows.

CHOCOLATE POPCORN BARS

Steps:

• Heat chips in a saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted and smooth.
• You can also do this in the microwave.
• Pour over the popcorn in a large bowl.
• Stir until the popcorn is evenly coated in chocolate.
• Press the mixture firmly in an ungreased rectangular pan.
• Refrigerate one hour or until chocolate is firm.
• Cut into 2-1/4 x 2 inch bars.
• Refrigerate remaining bars.

CHEWY PEANUT BUTTER POPCORN BARS

Steps:

• Spray a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
• Melt the peanut butter and butter together in a medium saucepan over low heat, then stir in the marshmallows. Continue to stir until the marshmallows are melted.
• Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the popcorn to coat evenly in the melted marshmallow mixture. Pour the popcorn mixture into the coated baking dish and spread out into an even layer. Drizzle the popcorn with the chocolate sauce. Allow the popcorn treats to cool for 30 minutes, then cut into bars.

CHOCOLATE CHIP POPCORN BARS

Steps:

• Heat oven to 350°F
• In large bowl, break up cookie dough.
• Stir in crushed granola bars.
• Press evenly in bottom of ungreased 13x9-inch pan to form crust.
• Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until puffed and edges are golden brown.
• Remove from oven.
• Immediately sprinkle with marshmallows.
• Return to oven; bake 1 to 2 minutes longer or until marshmallows begin to puff.
• In 3-quart saucepan, heat corn syrup, butter and peanut butter chips over medium heat 3 to 4 minutes, stirring frequently, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth.
• Stir in popcorn (mixture will be thick).
• Spoon over marshmallows; spread evenly to just barely cover marshmallows.
• Cool 30 minutes.
• In small microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips on High 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until melted, stirring once halfway through microwaving.
• Pour melted chocolate into quart-size resealable food-storage plastic bag.
• Cut off tiny bottom corner of bag; drizzle chocolate over bars.
• Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
• For bars, cut into 6 rows by 6 rows.
