This Copycat Olive Garden Salad Dressing brings that smooth and zesty flavor home to toss into your favorite green salad. It's simple and quick to make with nearly universal appeal!

1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
1/3 cup lemon juice ((about 1 lemon))
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese ((optional))

Steps:

  • In a small bowl whisk together mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, olive oil, parsley, basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and parmesan cheese (if using).
  • Pour into a salad dressing container. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 weeks.
  • An Olive Garden Salad is generally served as a bed of Romaine lettuce topped with red onion, tomato, whole pepperoncinis, kalamata olives, croutons, grated Parmesan cheese, and freshly cracked black pepper.

3/4 cup oil (vegetable/canola)
1/4 cup olive oil
1 Tablespoon mayonnaise
1/3 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup water
1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp dried Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
OPTIONAL: 1/4 cup shredded or grated Romano & Parmesan cheese to sprinkle on top of your salad

Steps:

  • Using a whisk or dressing mixer, mix all ingredients until thoroughly combined. Refrigerate for at least an hour to marinate flavors.
  • Use right away, or can be stored in and airtight container, in the refrigerator for about 3 weeks.

I've made quite a few "copycat" recipes, most of those not quite up to snuff. The same went for a recent Olive Garden Dressing I made. I should have known when it began with a bottled dressing, but I gave it a try. Finally, I combined a recipe I found with a cruet of Italian Dressing that I prepared from 2 envelopes of Good Seasonings, and I had my dressing!

1 teaspoon salt

9 tablespoons water (thatâ s 1/2 cup Tablespoon)
Good Seasonings Italian salad dressing mix

Steps:

  • 1.Combine all ingredients in a blender on high until combined, about 30 seconds.
  • 2.Pour into small bowl and cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • 3.Stir before serving.
