Our tasty Potatoes Diane recipe is made with a few tasty ingredients to a delicious meal for any day of the week. Hi Welcome to our website! If you are looking for a recipe called POTATOES DIANE, you are in the right place. Our recipe we're sharing with you today was given to us by our dear friend, this was a recipe she enjoyed making for her family. Hand written recipe from our dear friend Fran for POTATOES DIANE, one of her favourite recipes. I'm all about keeping any recipes that have been hand written by our elders, friends and family. So many people have lost or misplaced family recipes. Simple ingredients to an amazing meal. Only a few simple ingredients in this recipe but it tastes amazing, serve with chicken, steak or fish it will be lovely. Mix or toss all ingredient together then put in 9 x 13 inch glass pan. Pre-grease 9 x 13 inch glass oven proof pan, evenly spread in pan. Top potatoes Diane with buttered corn flakes. Lots of cheese and topped with buttered corn flakes, baked for 60 minutes on 350ºf. Yield 1 - 9 x 13 dish

Number Of Ingredients 10

Hash browns
Velveeta cheese
Onion
Shredded Chedder Cheese
Cream chicken
Milk
Butter or margarine
Sour cream
Corn flakes
Butter or margarine

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix together hash browns, two types of cheese, chopped onion, cream of chicken soup, sour cream and melted butter. Pre-grease 9 x 13 inch oven proof glass pan and add all mixture, evenly spread in pan. In a plastic bag or bowl add corn flakes and crush them, add 2 tbsp melted butter. Toss around and add over your Potatoes Diane and place in a pre-heated oven on 350ºf and bake for 60 minutes. Serve with meat or fish of choice.

1 sticks butter
16 ounces sour cream
0.5 cups mayonnaise
10 ounces cream
1 units onion
6 units green onions
0.5 teaspoons garlic powder
4 cups sharp cheddar cheese
32 ounces hash brown potatoes
20 ounces broccoli
1 units butter crackers
0.5 cups butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place stick of butter in 4-or 5-qt. roasting pan, place in oven to melt. In bowl mix sour cream, mayonnaise, can of soup, both chopped onions, garlic powder and 2 and 1/2 cups of grated cheese. Set aside.
  • Once butter has melted, spread hash brown potatoes on top, sprinkle chopped broccoli over potatoes, pour the sour cream mixture over all, spreading to cover the entire top of pan. Sprinkle the rest of cheese, cracker crumbs and pour 1/2 cup of melted butter over that. Cover with aluminum foil.
  • Bake for 35 - 40 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 15-20 minutes or till hot and bubbly and top has browned.

This is my own recipe and is delicious for company. it is different to other diane sauces as it has the addition of mushrooms which makes it more enjoyable. serve with a baked potato and green vegetables. Bon appetit.

16 ounces steak fillets, seperated into two 8 oz pieces
200 g mushrooms, any kind
50 g butter
1 small onion
8 ounces single cream
1 beef stock cube
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 garlic cloves
1 tablespoon brandy, may use more just add to taste
1 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • add butter to a large frying pan and pan fry steaks until cooked to your requirements, set aside in the oven on a low heat to keep warm. ensure well covered to stop them drying out. reserve pan juices.
  • whilst the steak is cooking saute onions and mushrooms in another pan.
  • place chopped garlic into pan juices and gently saute in the butter. add the beef stock cube, worcestershire sauce and black pepper. add the brandy and simmer until the alcohol has burnt off. combine the mushrooms and onions into the sauce and add the single cream to the sauce. simmer to warm through but ensure you watch for curdling. finish with black pepper and pour onto the steaks.
  • serve with jacket potatoes and green vegetables.

6 medium potatoes (2 pounds), peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 cups milk
Paprika and minced fresh parsley

Steps:

  • Place potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and cook for 10-15 minutes or until tender. Meanwhile, in another saucepan, melt butter. Stir in the flour, salt and pepper until smooth. Gradually add milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened., Drain potatoes and place in a large serving bowl. Add cream sauce; toss gently to coat. Sprinkle with paprika and parsley.

4 Idaho potatoes, about 1 3/4 pounds
Salt to taste if desired
1 cup heavy cream
1/3 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
Pinch of cayenne pepper
1/2 cup finely chopped scallions
Freshly ground pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Peel and drop potatoes into cold water. Drain and cut them lengthwise into quarters. Cut each quarter into 1-inch lengths.
  • Add pieces to a small skillet with water to cover. Add salt and bring to a boil. Simmer 5 minutes. Drain.
  • Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil. Cover and cook about 4 minutes or until almost tender.
  • Uncover and cook about 1 minute longer or until potatoes are tender and cream sauce is lightly thickened.
