4 skinless, boneless chicken thighs
½ cup soy sauce
½ cup ketchup
⅓ cup honey
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried basil

Steps:

  • Lay chicken thighs into the bottom of a 4-quart slow cooker.
  • Whisk soy sauce, ketchup, honey, garlic, and basil together in a bowl; pour over the chicken.
  • Cook on Low for 6 hours.

1 teaspoon dried oregano
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
2 tablespoons butter
¼ cup water
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules
1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley

Steps:

  • In a bowl, mix the oregano, salt, and pepper. Rub the mixture into chicken. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Brown chicken in butter for 3 to 5 minutes on each side. Place chicken in a slow cooker.
  • In the same skillet, mix the water, lemon juice, garlic, and bouillon. Bring the mixture to boil. Pour over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  • Cover, and cook on High for 3 hours, or Low for 6 hours. Add the parsley to the slow cooker 15 to 30 minutes before the end of the cook time.

6 bone-in chicken breast halves (12 ounces each), skin removed
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup water
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon granules
2 teaspoons minced fresh parsley
Hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • Pat chicken dry with paper towels. Combine the oregano, seasoned salt and pepper; rub over chicken. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the chicken in butter; transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker. Add water, lemon juice, garlic and bouillon to the skillet; bring to a boil, stirring to loosen browned bits. Pour over chicken. , Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours. Baste chicken with cooking juices. Add parsley. Cover and cook 15-30 minutes longer or until meat juices run clear. Serve with rice. (If desired, cooking juices may be thickened before serving.)

8 pc chicken thighs and drumsticks
1 1/2 lb small potatoes (red or yukon )
1 onion,chopped
3 clove garlic
4 sprig(s) thyme
2 lemon,sliced with skin
1.4 c honey
1/4 c chicken broth or water
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • 1. Season chicken with salt and pepper, and fry until skin is light brown.
  • 2. In a slow cooker put potatoes, onion,garlic,thyme and lemon slices.Season with salt and pepper.
  • 3. Lay the chicken on top of the vegetables and drizzle witch honey.Add chicken stock.
  • 4. Cover with a lid and cook on high for 4 hours or on low for 6-8 hours.Enjoy.

1/3 cup melted unsalted butter
1/2 cup honey
2 tablespoons lemons or 2 tablespoons lime juice
1 teaspoon ground ginger

Steps:

  • Combine melted butter, honey, lemon/lime juice and ground ginger in a bowl.
  • Mix well.
  • Place chicken in crock pot. Pour mixture over chicken and cook on low for 6 hours.
  • Spoon mixture over chicken periodically to make sure it gets covered in the sauce.

Crock Pot Honey Garlic Chicken is finger licking good. Well, it would be if you ate it with your fingers. Moist and tender chicken thighs slow cooked in a honey garlic sauce and served over a bed of white rice is an easy dinner recipe you don't want to miss.

8 medium chicken thighs (I used bone in with the skin chicken thighs)
1/2 cup butter (melted)
1/2 cup honey
1/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3 tablespoons water

Steps:

  • Place the chicken thighs skin side up in a 6 to 7 quart crock pot.
  • In a bowl mix the melted butter, honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic and lemon juice. Mix until combined.
  • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
  • Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook for 4 hours on high or 6 hours on low. Or until the internal temperature of the thickest chicken thigh has reached at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit. (I actually prefer my chicken to be cooked to at least 185 internal degrees.)
  • Thirty minutes before the chicken will be finished cooking mix the cornstarch with the cool water.
  • Lift the crock pot lid and pour the cornstarch slurry in and mix it into the juices in the crock pot.
  • Recover and cook until the chicken is cooked through and the juices have slightly thickened.
  • If you'd like to brown up the chicken thigh skin you can place the crock pot ceramic insert into the oven under the broiler for a few minutes as I have done.
  • Serve the Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs over a bed of cooked white rice and drizzle the thickened juices over the chicken if desired.
