DR. PEPPER CROCK POT PULLED PORK RECIPE

- Place the onion in the bottom of the slow cooker. Rub the outside of the roast with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Pour the Dr. Pepper over the pork and cook on high 4-5 hours or on low 7-8 hours.
- The meat will be very tender. Using 2 forks, shred the pork and place back in the juices.
- Add barbecue sauce to taste. Allow to cook an additional 30-60 minutes if desired.
- Serve on crusty rolls with coleslaw.

DR. PEPPER PULLED PORK IN THE SLOW COOKER
Steps:
- Place the chopped onions in the bottom of the slow cooker. Place the pork butt on top of the onions and add the garlic, ground mustard, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, apple cider vinegar and Worcestershire sauce. Pour the Dr. Pepper on top and cook on high for 4-5 hours (or on low for 8 hours). Very carefully, because the pork will be hot, remove the meat from the slow cooker and place on a large cutting board. Using two forks, shred the pork by pulling away from each other. The meat should be very tender by this point. Place the shredded pork back into the slow cooker and continue to cook for an additional hour. Drain the remaining juices and toss the meat and onion mixture in the barbecue sauce of choice. I don't have an exact amount listed-just add a bit at a time until you get to your desired sauciness

- Prepare the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
- Place the tenderloin in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Pour the soda over the top, then sprinkle garlic and black pepper over top.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours or until the tenderloin is fork tender.
- Discard the remaining liquid.
- Shred the pork and stir in the barbecue sauce. Add 1 cup at a time, up to 2 cups, until it's as saucy as your prefer.
- Allow the shredded pork to simmer in the slow cooker for an additional 30 minutes prior to serving.
- Serve on buns, over baked potatoes, or alone.
