Easy Girl Scout Dinner Recipes
EASY GIRL SCOUT DINNER
Steps:
- In a large bowl, combine potatoes, carrots, onion, red pepper, and ground beef. Mix together. Then add seasoning salt, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- Tear off 4-6 sheets of aluminum foil. Spoon mixture onto each sheet. Add ½ T. butter to each. Wrap carefully in foil. Then wrap with additional foil layer. Cook for about 20 mins, or until meat is no longer pink, and vegetables are tender.
- Sprinkle with cheese after cooking.
MEAL IN FOIL
I brought this treat to my family after working as a Girl Scout leader. It's a great way to let kids make their own meal. You may make these packages as large as you want for hearty appetites, allowing a little more time for cooking. This is great for pool parties, camping, etc.

Steps:
- Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat. Lightly grease one side of a large piece of heavy foil.
- Form ground beef chuck into a patty, and place in the center of the foil's prepared side. Arrange potato, carrot and sweet onion around the beef. Top with butter. Salt and pepper to taste. Tightly seal the foil around the beef and vegetables.
- Place the sealed foil packet on the prepared grill. Turning frequently, cook approximately 30 minutes, or to desired doneness.

BOY SCOUT FOIL DINNER
My oldest son is a Boy Scout and made this on a camping trip. It's winter here right now but I decided I'd make something close to bake in the oven.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375. Take 1 lb hamburger and mix it by hand with 1 pkg Lipton Onion soup mix and set aside. Chop red potatoes and onion and mix together with desired amount of baby carrots and toss with Olive oil and salt and pepper then set aside. Pull out a sheet of Tin foil and Pam spray it. Layer it with the hamburger then salt and pepper the hamburger before adding the Potato, carrot, onion mixture. Salt and pepper again before folding up. Place foil packets on cookie sheep and place on lowest shelf in oven. Bake 25 minutes and turn over and bake another 25 minutes. Take out and check for doneness. If vegetables or hamburger are not done place back into oven and bake longer till done.
