Number Of Ingredients 12

1/4 cup chicken broth
3 ounces unsweetened coconut milk
1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
1 ounce soy sauce
1 tablespoon red miso paste
1 tablespoon fish sauce or 2 to 3 anchovies, ground
1 tablespoon hot sauce
2 tablespoons chopped garlic
1 tablespoon chopped fresh ginger
3/4 cup cashew nut butter
3/4 cup tahini
1/4 cup chopped cilantro leaves

Steps:

  • In a food processor, puree the chicken broth, coconut milk, lime juice, soy sauce, miso, fish sauce, hot sauce, chopped garlic, and ginger. Add the cashew nut butter and tahini and pulse to combine. Fold in the cilantro and keep refrigerated until ready to serve. Serve with satay or coconut shrimp.

1 tablespoon peanut oil
1 tablespoon butter
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 cup organic chunky peanut butter
2 teaspoons olive paste
1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon molasses
1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
1 1/2 cups water
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
Salt to taste

Steps:

  • In a hot saute pan heat oil and butter, add onion, garlic, red pepper flakes and chili powder, reduce heat to medium and cook until onions are golden brown. Add peanut butter, olive paste, brown sugar, molasses, soy sauce and water and cook, stirring occasionally, for approximately 8 minutes or until sauce is thick. Add lime juice and salt to taste. Remove from heat to a container with a cover and allow to come to room temperature before covering and refrigerating. Sauce will keep for up to 1 week.

2 tablespoons sesame oil
½ cup sliced green onion
3 tablespoons sesame seeds
2 cloves garlic, crushed
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 cup chicken broth
¼ cup tamari sauce
3 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 tablespoon curry powder
½ cup salted almond butter

Steps:

  • Heat sesame oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook and stir green onions, sesame seeds, garlic, and red pepper flakes in hot oil until fragrant and onions start to soften, 2 to 3 minutes. Stir chicken broth, tamari sauce, vinegar, sugar, and curry powder into onion mixture; bring to a simmer. Whisk in almond butter and stir until thickened, about 5 minutes.
