MAKE A DOUBLE BATCH--THIS STUFF IS ENCRIDIBLE! If you use round hawaian bread..pull out part of the middle and use for bread pudding :-) I don't use poppy seeds bcz they are too expensive

1 package(s) hawaiian bread rolls
1 - onion, minced
1 stick(s) butter
3 tablespoon(s) dijon mustard
2 teaspoon(s) worcestershire sauce
3 teaspoon(s) poppy seeds
1/2 pound(s) shaved ham
8 ounce(s) mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • Melt Butter in skillet and add Onions. Combine Mustard, Worchester Sauce, and Poppy Seeds into Butter and Onion. Simmer for several minutes.
  • Slice rolls as a group lengthwise and place rolls in an aluminum foil lined 9 x 13 pan.
  • Spread 3/4 onion mixture onto bottom half of rolls..Then layer ham and cheese slices.
  • Top with the roll tops. Spread the remaining onion mixture onto the roll tops. Cover with foil and bake 20 min. at 350 degrees.

These are seasoned and stuffed hamburgers with a taste of potato and cheese. Serve on buns with condiments of choice.

1 large potato, peeled and shredded
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
1 cup chopped fresh mushrooms
2 pounds lean ground beef
2 (1 ounce) packages dry onion soup mix

Steps:

  • Preheat grill for high heat.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together potato, cheese, and mushrooms.
  • In a large bowl, mix ground beef with onion soup mix. Form into 6 large burger patties. Make a pocket in each burger, stuff with potato mixture, and seal.
  • When ready to grill, brush grate with oil. Cook burgers over high heat for 5 minutes on each side, or until well done. Serve hot.
