GLUTEN-FREE SMOKED LOADED NACHOS RECIPE BY TASTY



Gluten-Free Smoked Loaded Nachos Recipe by Tasty image

Here's what you need: ground beef, taco seasoning, gluten-free tortilla chips, shredded cheddar cheese, roma tomatoes, red onion, large avocados, green onion, sour cream

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 ½ lb ground beef
2 tablespoons taco seasoning
1 bag gluten-free tortilla chips
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
4 roma tomatoes, chopped
1 red onion, chopped
2 large avocados, sliced
½ cup green onion, chopped
1 cup sour cream, optional

Steps:

  • Set smoker to 300°F. Place beef in a cast iron skillet and brown in a smoker. Once browned, add taco seasoning. Then, remove beef from the skillet and set aside and set the smoker to 225°F.
  • Line skillet with a layer of chips, cheese, meat, tomatoes and onion. Then, repeat these steps until the skillet is full. Top skillet with remaining cheese.
  • Smoke at 225° for 10 minutes. Then, set the smoker to 400° and cook until the cheese is golden brown.
  • Take the skillet off of the smoker and top with avocado, green onion, and tomato.
  • Serve topped with dollops of sour cream.

  • Arrange tortilla chips on a baking sheet. Preheat oven to broil on high. Brown the beef, drain the fat, and add seasoning packet & water. Cook according to package directions.
  • Over the tortilla chips, add the ground beef, grated cheese, salsa, and any other ingredients you want to melt. Place in the oven for 8-10 minutes, adding more time if needed.
  • Add your non-heated ingredients like lettuce, sliced avocado or guacamole, sour cream, or anything else you want! Nachos, baby!
