GRANDMA RUTH'S SNICKERDOODLE COOKIES
This is my great-grandma's recipe that everyone loves!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease.
- Beat 1 1/2 cups white sugar, butter, and eggs together in a bowl using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl; stir into creamed butter mixture until dough holds together.
- Mix 2 tablespoons white sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl.
- Form dough into 2-teaspoon-size balls and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place dough balls, about 2 inches apart, on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven on the center rack for 7 minutes. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

GRANDMA SUGGIE'S SNICKERDOODLES
Steps:
- In mixing bowl cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Blend in milk and vanilla. Thoroughly stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Stir into creamed mixture and nuts.
- Then put 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Lightly flatten balls with bottom of tumbler.
- Bake 375 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes or till done.

They were always the most fun cookies to make growing up, and the the yummiest cookies. .This is a simple recipe.. do not substitute the shortning.. that is what makes the best cookie.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- mix sugar, eggs, shortening, salt until creamy.
- add baking soda, cream of tarter and slowly mix flour in until it is a nice dough.
- mix cinnamon and sugar cookie coating in a shallow wide bowl, you can add sugar or cinnamon according to taste.
- roll cookie dough into small balls.
- roll balls of cookie dough in the cookie coating until completely covered.
- place on greased cookie sheet.
- bake for about 8-10 minutes.
