1-3/4 cups packed brown sugar, divided
1 cup all-purpose flour
6 tablespoons baking cocoa, divided
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup 2% milk
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1-3/4 cups boiling water
Vanilla ice cream

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine 1 cup brown sugar, flour, 3 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt. Combine the milk, butter and vanilla; stir into dry ingredients just until combined., Spread into a 3-qt. slow cooker coated with cooking spray. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. In another bowl, combine the remaining brown sugar and cocoa; stir in boiling water. Pour over batter (do not stir)., Cover and cook on high for 4 to 4-1/2 hours or until a toothpick inserted in the center of cake comes out clean. Serve warm with ice cream.

1 package (11-1/2 ounces) milk chocolate chips
1/3 cup butter, cubed
4 eggs, separated
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
HOT FUDGE SAUCE:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter, cubed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Vanilla ice cream

Steps:

  • In a heavy saucepan, melt milk chocolate chips and butter over low heat. Cool slightly. Whisk in egg yolks. Add flour just until combined. In a small bowl, beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form. Fold into chocolate mixture until blended. Fold in almonds., Pour into a greased 10-in. pie plate or quiche dish. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack., For sauce, combine sugar, cocoa and cream in a saucepan until smooth. Add semisweet chips and butter. Cook and stir over low heat until chips and butter are melted and mixture is smooth. Remove from the heat; stir in vanilla. , Cut cake into wedges; top with ice cream. Drizzle with warm sauce.

1/3 cup prune baby food
1-1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
1-1/4 cups boiling water

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, 3/4 cup sugar, 3 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt. In another bowl, combine the milk, baby food and vanilla. 1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1-1/4 cups hot water
Ice cream or whipped cream

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, 1/4 cup cocoa, baking powder and salt. Blend in milk, oil and vanilla. Stir in nuts. Pour into a greased square baking pan. Combine brown sugar and remaining cocoa; sprinkle evenly over batter. Pour hot water over top. Do not stir. , Bake at 350° for 45 minutes or until cake tests done. Cool 10 minutes.
