My husband came up with this recipe, and it looked so beautiful & festive on our Christmas table. And it's very easy too! This also makes an awesome Gift From Your Pantry! Number Of Ingredients 5

1 can(s) cranberry sauce, jellied
1/8 c roasted almonds, chopped
1/8 c dried cranberries (craisins)
parsley, fresh
basil, fresh

Steps:

  • 1. Remove cranberry sauce from the can. Dice into small bite-sized chunks.
  • 2. Gently mix almonds & craisins with sauce.
  • 3. Top with a sprig of fresh Parsley & Basil for garnish.

I get dried cranberries to make cranberry cake, bread and sauce. This cranberry sauce makes a great gift.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 1/2 c dried cranberries
3/4 c cranberry juice
1/3 c sugar
zest of 1 orange
1/4 tsp salt
juice from zested orange
2 Tbsp cornstarch
4 Tbsp water to mix with cornstarch to make a slurry.

Steps:

  • 1. Add all ingredients ( except ) cornstarch to a pot. Bring to a boil.
  • 2. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook until cranberries plump up.Add the cornstarch slurry slowly while at a slow simmer until sauce is thick
  • 3. Makes 2 cups.
