JOE'S REDNECK PASTA WITH ITALIAN SAUSAGE
This Recipe came from my Best Friend Joe Martin Sr. He made it up himself and he gave me permission to post it here.

Steps:
- 1. Cook the sausage on medium heat. Simmer in water over medium heat until fully cooked. Then drain the water and brown the outsides.
- 2. Remove the meat from the heat and place on a plate to cool.
- 3. Meanwhile start the water for the pasta to boil add salt & oil to the water to keep it from sticking later... once the water is rapidly boiling add the pasta and boil according to time on the box.
- 4. Once the meat has cooled down enough to touch slice the sausage into 1/2 inch slices ( or cubes depending on your preference )...
- 5. Once everything is finished put the pasta & sauce together in the pan you boiled it in. Add the sausage slices and reheat thoroughly...
- 6. Serve on a plate with or without cheese on top your preference...

- In a large skillet, cook and crumble sausage with red pepper and onion over medium-high heat until no longer pink, 5-7 minutes. Transfer to a 3- or 4-qt. slow cooker., In same pan, cook and crumble beef over medium-high heat until no longer pink, 5-7 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, add beef to slow cooker. Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, garlic powder and, if desired, liquid smoke. Cook, covered, on low until flavors are blended, 4-5 hours., To serve, place cheese on bun bottoms; top with meat mixture and, if desired, peppers. Close sandwiches. Freeze option: Freeze cooled meat mixture in freezer containers. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Heat through in a saucepan, stirring occasionally and adding a little water if necessary.
