Instant Pudding mix makes these cookies very soft. You can try different variations of pudding mix too--chocolate pudding mix with peanut butter chips, banana pudding mix with white chocolate chips, etc.

Ingredients

1 cup margarine
1/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 (113 g) package vanilla instant pudding mix (4 serving size)
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/4 cups flour
1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips

Steps:

Beat first 6 ingredients together until creamy.
Add next 2 ingredients.
Mix well.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by tsp and bake at 350° for 9 minutes.
Do not over bake!

Ingredients

1 ⅔ cups all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
½ cup white sugar
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
½ cup packed brown sugar

Steps:

Combine the flour, baking soda, white sugar, and the chocolate chips. Place 1/2 of the mixture in a clean quart sized glass jar, and pack firmly. Place the brown sugar on top, again packing firmly. Place the remaining flour mixture on top. Cover with a lid.
Attach an index card with the following directions: Empty contents of jar into a large bowl. In separate bowl combine 3/4 cup of butter, 1 1/2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until creamy. Add to dry mixture. Drop by tablespoonful onto an ungreased cookie sheet, and bake in a preheated 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) oven for 8 to 10 minutes.

¾ cup packed brown sugar
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
8 tablespoons butter
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
2 eggs
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Melt the butter then stir in the sugars and vanilla.
Combine the flour, baking soda and salt. Stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture. Stir in the beaten eggs. Then add the chocolate chips and stir to combine.
On an ungreased cookie sheet drop cookies about 1 to 2 inches apart. Make the cookies in whatever size you like from small to big. Bake cookies at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 8 to 10 minutes. The shorter time will produce a chewy cookie, the longer time a crispy cookie.
