A Chinese buffet favorite, this crab meat casserole is loaded with mild and creamy flavors. Made with imitation crab meat, cream cheese, sweet onions, etc.. Perfect for a holiday pot luck dinner.

1 8 ounce package Crab Delight (Chunk or Flake style will work)
5 ounces cream cheese
1/4 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded swiss cheese
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1/4 tsp garlic powder onion powder, pepper to taste
1 medium sweet onion (sliced into thin rings)

Steps:

  • In a bowl, shred the crab meat into smaller chunks.
  • Add the cream cheese, sour cream and shredded swiss cheese to the bowl, and combine.
  • Add in the onion and spices, and combine until fully mixed.
  • Spread mixture into a casserole dish and then top with the cheddar cheese.
  • Bake at 350 for 30 mins.
  • Enjoy warm!

Hot Crab Dip with Cream Cheese image

A savory, creamy recipe for baked Hot Crab Dip with Cream Cheese featuring simple ingredients and easy preparations.

2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 bunch green onions, chopped (white and light green parts only, reserve the green for garnish (if desired))
2 cloves of garlic, minced
4 ounces (1/2 a package) cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoons + 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 1/2 cup freshly grated White Cheddar or Havarti Cheese
8 ounces jumbo lump crab meat
2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 375° and have ready a greased, 4-cup capacity, oven-safe dish.
  • In a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Do not allow butter to burn. Add the green onions and sauté 1 minute. Add the garlic and sauté about 1 minute more.
  • Add the cream cheese and cream, and stir until combined and smooth. Stir in the lemon juice, Worcestershire, salt, and cayenne, followed by 1 cup of grated Cheddar cheese. Add the crab and stir once more.
  • Transfer to the serving dish and top with the remaining 1/2 cup of Cheddar and the Parmesan (if using). Bake for 16-18 minutes, until hot and bubbly. Garnish with green onion tops, serve, and enjoy.

1/2 cup reduced-fat spreadable garden vegetable cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon seafood seasoning
3/4 cup lump crabmeat, drained
2 packages (1.9 ounces each) frozen miniature phyllo tart shells
5 tablespoons chili sauce

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, mix cream cheese and seafood seasoning; gently stir in crab. Spoon 2 teaspoons crab mixture into each tart shell; top with chili sauce.

1 1/2 lbs lump crabmeat, flaked
1/4 lb butter or 1/4 lb margarine
1 cup milk
1 cup half-and-half
2 tablespoons parmesan cheese
3 tablespoons flour
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
3 green onions, chopped
8 ounces cream cheese
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

Steps:

  • butter in saucepan over med-low heat. Add flour to butter and stir until smooth. Add milk and half and half and stir. Add garlic salt and whisk in an egg before the sauce gets too warm. Add 1tbs parmesan cheese and green onions ad cream cheese, sour cream and worcestershire sauce. Heat sauce until it thickens but does not boil. Toss crab chunks into sauce and stir to coat.
  • Pour mixture into a 2 quart baking dish (could use a more shallow dish), sprinkle with other tbs of parmesan and sharp cheddar. Bake at 300 for approx 45 or until everything is bubbly.

I found this recipe in an old cookbook that my mom gave me when Mathew and I moved in together. I think they're great, especially when served with some grilled asparagus and a big glass of sweet tea.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/2 cup water
1/3 cup butter
2/3 cup flour
2 eggs
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon onion flakes
1 teaspoon parsley flakes
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup crab, cooked & chopped

Steps:

  • Bring water & butter to boil. Reduce to low heat.
  • Add flour & salt, stirring vigorously over low heat until mixture forms a ball.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Add eggs one at a time, beating the mixture smooth after each addition.
  • Place level Tablespoons of batter on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
  • Cool.
  • Mix remaining ingredients together.
  • Cut tops off puffs & overfill them with the mixture.
  • Replace tops.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 7 minutes on ungreased cookie sheet.
