1/4 cup tamari sauce (use soy as an alternative)
2 tbsp natural smooth peanut butter
2 tbsp erythritol (alternatively you can use brown erythritol)
1 tsp rice wine vinegar
2 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp hot sauce ((optional))
1 minced garlic clove
1/8 tsp black pepper

Steps:

  • Whisk ingredients together until well combined, use with your favourite asian inspired dishes.
  • Store in an airtight jar for up to 1 month in the fridge.

Many Asian style recipes require high carb sauces in their ingredients to get that authentic restaurant taste. We created our version of one of those - Low Carb Hoisin Sauce, it's not identical but it's as close as we can get while keeping it Keto.

4 tablespoons tamari
2 tablespoons natural peanut butter (smooth)
2 teaspoons rice wine vinegar
1 clove garlic
3 teaspoons sesame oil
1 teaspoon frank's hot sauce
pinch Pepper
1/4 teaspoon chinese five spice
2 teaspoons Sugar Free Maple Syrup
1/8 teaspoon xanthum gum

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients into a blender.
  • Blend for 3 minutes, until ingredients are well combined and the sauce has thickened.
  • Store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.

This low carb hoisin sauce is perfect for dipping, stir fries and as a meat glaze! Sugar free, gluten free and keto recipe.

¼ cup soy sauce, or tamari
2 tbs smooth unsweetened almond butter
1 tbs sugar free honey
1 tsp rice vinegar
1 tsp sesame oil
½ tsp garlic paste
¼ cup water

Steps:

  • Combine all the ingredients except the water in a small saucepan, and cook over a low heat until the nut butter has dissolved and a glossy sauce has formed.
  • Whisk in the water to finish (the sauce will thicken when it cools).
  • Let the sauce cool, then transfer to a bowl, cover it, and store in the fridge until required

This recipe is easy to make and tastes great. Amounts can be adjusted to suit individual tastes to make it more or less sweet and spicy. Black bean paste can be used in placed of the peanut butter. Goes well with chicken, pork, beef, wild game and dim sum.

4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1 tablespoon molasses or 1 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoons seasoned rice vinegar
1 garlic clove, finely minced
2 teaspoons sesame seed oil
1 teaspoon chinese hot sauce (more or less to taste)
1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a small mixing bowl.
  • Mix with a whisk until well blended.

1 lb lean pork, thinly sliced against the grain
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon honey
2 teaspoons orange juice
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons peanut oil
1 cup broccoli, chopped (fresh or frozen)
3 scallions, chopped
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce

Steps:

  • In a medium bowl, mix pork, soy sauce, honey, juice, and cornstarch.
  • Marinate for about an hour.
  • In a wok or large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium heat.
  • Add pork and stir-fry over high heat for 3 minutes.
  • Add broccoli and scallions and stir-fry for about 2 minutes more.
  • Then stir in hoisin sauce and toss until meat and vegetables are coated with sauce and cooked through.
  • Serve hot with rice.
