MOM'S SALAD DRESSING (RED WINE VINEGAR)
Simple and sweet, only three ingredients. To be clear, this is NOT an Italian-style dressing. This is a mild, sweet, natural-tasting dressing with NO kick (that's how I like it). Still tastes good if you replace the sugar with Truvia, though not so good with low-fat mayonnaise.

- Stir 'til smooth (I actually shake 'til smooth). Pour over simple salad of lettuce, avocado, tomato and green onions, toss to completely cover.

This is a dressing for a recipe my mom (Mah!) had. It's quite tasty and can be used for an antipasto or just a standard lettuce and kale or spinach salad.

- Mash garlic with a bit of salt using a mortar and pestle; transfer to a bowl. Add vinegar, mayonnaise, and oregano to garlic; whisk.
- Slowly pour olive oil into the bowl while vigorously whisking the oil into the vinegar mixture to incorporate; season with salt and pepper.
