You can't go wrong with this classic chicken-vegetable soothing soup-it's good for what ails you. This traditional recipe is delicious and easy to make.

Steps:
- In a large pot, bring broth to a boil over high. Add carrots, celery, and potatoes. Reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender, 14 to 16 minutes. Stir in chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until chicken is warmed through, 1 to 2 minutes.

CHINESE CHICKEN VEGETABLE SOUP
We had a Chinese restaurant that made two soups that I loved how they tasted. When they went out of business, we looked for someone else that made these two soups, without much luck. Knowing all the ingredients that were there, I went to work to make my own recipe for this very tasty soup. Plus I'm a big fan of 'make it tasty, fast and easy' which this is, when I run the veggies through my food processor. Also when I not feel well, this is one soup that has all what help me feel better. I also serve this with steamed rice as a side dish for those who want it as well.

Steps:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large Dutch oven or soup pot over medium-high heat, and cook and stir the chicken thigh and breast meat until the chicken is no longer pink inside, about 3 minutes. When the chicken is cooked, stir in the water, chicken bouillon cube, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Bring the soup to a boil, and reduce heat to a simmer.
- Stir in the baby corn, water chestnuts, carrots, broccoli florets, napa cabbage, red bell pepper, green onions, celery, zucchini, and snow peas, and simmer until the carrots start to softened, and the broccoli and snow peas turn bright green, 1 to 2 minutes. Mix in the mushrooms, and simmer for 5 more minutes.

- Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add chicken breasts, onion, and garlic; cook and stir until chicken is no longer pink in the center, about 5 minutes.
- Pour chicken broth into the pot; bring to a boil. Stir in potatoes, cabbage, and carrot. Simmer soup until potatoes are tender, 30 to 40 minutes.
- Bring soup back to a boil. Drizzle in eggs, stirring until cooked, about 1 minute. Season with salt and pepper.

MEE SUA IN CHICKEN AND VEGETABLE SOUP
Mee sua is a type of chinese noodles - better described as fine wheat vermicelli. It is made with some salt, so it adds flavour to the soup. The soft texture of the noodles, mixed in a clear broth - makes it a very soothing and comforting dish. Chicken soup (and mee sua) for the soul!

Steps:
- Mix seasoning ingredients with cubed chicken leg and leave for 1 hour.
- Boil water and add chicken breasts and carrots to make the broth.
- For best results, boil broth on high heat in a crockpot for 2 hours.
- Transfer broth to a soup pot.
- Add seasoned chicken leg to broth and boil on top of a stove until chicken is cooked.
- Add noodles, bok choy and beansprouts and boil for about 3-4 minutes until noodles are soft but not mushy.
- Add soya sauce and chinese wine to taste.
- Sprinkle sliced shallots and garnish with chilli padi.

- Make the meatballs: Using your hands, mix all the ingredients thoroughly in a large bowl. Make sure everything is incorporated. Set aside.
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, sauté garlic and onions in oil. Add water and bouillon cube. Bring to a boil.
